I don't have a classic car, but i do have a 2024 Dodge Ram TRX. I asked Dave to install some after-market modifications and he didn't blink an eye and said no problem.He and his team including Mariah, Mathew & Brandon went above and beyond to taking on the new challenge.He installed a new S&B Air Intake, Ripatuned Incognito Lower pully, AWE tuning catback exhaust system, Eibach Front spring and Foutz rear spacer for a leveling kit, Baja 20" behind the grill light bar along with a Bedrug bed liner and Undercover Armor Flex tri-fold bed cover. I couldn't be more satisfied with the workmanship, attention to details, timeliness, price and answered all my concerns.I Highly recommend Dave and his team! and I will use them again in the next phase of my build.

Dave the owner screwed me and stole 6500 dollars for crap work if that's what u call it .I Owen a 1956 nomad maybe some saw it there for 6 months and nothing done .don't take your CLASSIC car there had scrachs dents .I know need to get fixedIf u want to get your car fuc?ed up take it there Martin peters I'll even put my email to this messageDmpeters@att .net No stars

Loved the new sound of the exhaust cutouts they installed. Also went back to have a vinyl decal applied. Knowing that if they deal with the classics the attention to detail and high standards they have the project would come out great. It did.

I appreciate the fast turnaround on my 1935 Chevy. During a road trip I had a mishap with the 35 and didn't think I would be able to take the 35 to Louisville Street Rod Nationals. Motor City Steel guaranteed that the Chevy would be ready and it was and as I type this I'm loading up getting ready for the Street Rod Nationals in Louisville. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Between Motor City Steel and Safety Auto Center in West Bloomfield, (both owned by Dave) we have given him a total of $8,488.18. There were SOOOOOOOO many lies, I don't know where to begin. The exhaust W/ dual pipes was put on SO crooked, we had to hire someone else to repair that. They repaired a (same) door handle TWICE, in less than a year. They REFUSED to admit when working on our speedometer cable (for the 2nd time) that they BROKE THE TACHOMETER COMPLETELY. They ruined our neon lights underneath, never said a word, left them dangling. On 6-27, 2018, the car wouldn't start after having it in their shop for a few days, claimed it needed a new battery. This 5-year battery was bought in June new of 2016!? They didn't even offer to charge it- the battery shop did! I think they left the radio/CD on and the car door open for days/nights??!! We also know of a friend who wanted to beef up his newer Corvette, made an appointment to talk with Dave, took off work to do so, and he NEVER EVEN SHOWED UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!STAY AWAY. THEY ARE MISLEADING AND STEALING OUR HARD-EARNED MONEY. I TRIED TO GIVE LESS THAN 1 star, but can't.

Honestly, I had a great experience! They diagnosed the issue and fixed my car in a timely manor. Along with wonderful customer service, and great communication all around.

Dave is a salesman do not trust what he is selling.Motor City is unqualified to perform work quoted.They will bill for services not performed.Take your car anywhere else.

Bought a part from there about two months ago and still haven’t received my part and I payed $1000 for it I go up there and the owner Dave be lying about when it coming and basically making up stories, and I wouldn’t recommend a shop for anybody?

I do not recommend this guy to anybody he is a crook you go in there to order something he will order the wrong stuff and then when you tell him that's not what you need it there's no refund of your money and charges you more to order the right part and then doesn't return your call says the part never comes in when you go up there this guy is a crook do not waste your time or your money here and we are contacting a lawyer to sue him as we speak because it was over $1,000 , they should give you an option to give zero star rating cuz he deserves a zero or even negative Stars

Great group of highly skilled professionals.It was fun working with them on my project. Ben did amazing paint work and Mariah kept me updated on the progress. They were very welcoming to me popping in just for a chat and to see my project progress. I highly recommend!!

Motor City Steel is not your typical garage. These folks work on some of the finest classics in the U.S. along with all of the high-end performance work for the real power geeks. I go way out of my way to have them work on our vehicles. It's all about trust and competence. I've probably done ten jobs with them and can't imagine going anywhere else. These dudes are mechanical savants. I've seen them doing crazy custom stuff too, like turning an automatic into a stick-shift!
