I stopped in to look for an apartment since my daughter & her husband are moving home from Ft Bragg, N Carolina as his military service is complete soon & they will need a place to live. The office manager was rude & insensitive, stating that they require a 3 month history of income from Michigan. I explained that due to him being stationed at Ft Bragg this is not possible, but my daughter has been working as a Nurse & has proof of income there. Not good enough for them This company clearly DOES NOT VALUE MILITARY families or Nurses! Shame on you Briarwood Apartments.

The office staff is rude and were completely insensitive to my situation. The property manager was nowhere to be found and couldn’t be bothered to answer any questions. Please do yourself a favor and look elsewhere for an apartment.

We lived here for 3 years and are finally free!!! We always paid our rent, kept to ourselves and never got any violations yet the office staff was still horrible to deal with. It is a good location and a good property with decent size units. We did have maintenance issues but the guys were always a pleasure to deal with and on top of fixing the issue. They just need to rethink their employees in the office and the face of their company. Glad to be out of there so that we do not have to deal with the ladies in the office anymore. If you move you here don’t expect help from the office and if you do then expect to be harassed.

This is the 1st apartment I have lived in since the late 80s. I was working for another apartment complex when I moved in here and working for that complex made my anxiety level very high. But I have been here for 4 years now and have been very pleased. I have been very lucky to have had very pleasant neighbors. The staff is very friendly for most part. I have never had a problem with work orders and they have been pretty good on keep up on snow removal. I have read many of the reviews and just want to add that people who are complaining about work orders by maintenance not getting done in timely manner just remember that many of those were during the huge pandemic where EVERY WHERE and everyone had staffing issues and many are still having these issues. Just remember that when you read reviews and making decisions to move into these apartments. I worked for an apartment complex and refused to live at the complex I worked at even though it would have been much cheaper. The maintenance guys I worked with were incompetent at best, the property manager is a B..tch and clueless. So be careful grass isn't always greener

Nice place to live. I didn't use the pool or other given uses, however with the right spot, I got alot more with my home!??

Have lived here for 3 years Biggest complaints are the drafty windows/door causing my heat to run constantly in the winter and the unheated (but clean) pool is super cold until the last week of August when they drain it.

No proof for any violations. At the mercy of your neighbors. Had a noise complaint violation for our newborn. Ridiculous

I’m about to sign my 3rd lease here and have no real complaints. The location of the apartments is ideal and the price is very fair for the square footage, private entrances, and in unit washer and dryer. Maintenance has been 80% on top of it over my time here, and I believe that is reasonable given that most of my big issues occurred when they were lacking staff. Never have to pay for fixes. Everyone has always been friendly to me. Pool is kept pretty clean, you have to sign in which is really nice. Wish it was heated but what can you do!My cabinets are outdated (older wood like) and peeling, but I did not opt for the updated appliances. They update things as they break anyway.I love living here. No regrets. I even referred a friend of mine to live here and they gave me a $100 check. Will not move until I am ready to purchase a home. I only wish that I am able to up grade to a 2 bedroom without my rent skyrocketing (moved here before cost of living inflated) but hopefully I can wait until it drops!

As an employee for an apartment complex I’m very shocked at how they take matters into their own hands. There’s no proof from the violations we have received, we’ve been harassed by neighbors, and only have lived here for a year. Some office ladies are very nice and some are VERY rude with big attitudes. Best bet is to call on weekends to get the best service.

For a single female, I felt pretty safe despite being next to section 8 housing. There was one instance of break ins throughout the complex in u locked cars. Pretty quiet neighbors where I was and nice baseball fields nearby. Apartment was clean even though it had smelled like cigarette smoke. My garbage disposal was fixed quickly and leaking washer and dryer was replaced in a timely manner. My biggest complaint is the ladies in the office. Rude, absolutely poor customer service. I was once double charged for one late payment due to switching banks. I was told they "didn't have leasing papers" upon renewing. Come to find out, they weren't allowing me to renew giving me only 30 days to find a new place to live. Poor communication between employees, I was told multiple different answered to the same question depending on who I talked to. Honestly would never want to come back because of the office staff.

I had an issue with several wall outlets in my unit that are very important (connected to wifi, printers, etc) and I put in a maintenance request. I shared that this was an urgent issue that needed attention since I am working from home and need these items. They scheduled a date to fix them for two days after the request was sent, which seemed reasonable. When the scheduled time and day came, they never showed up and never let me know that they would not show up. I sent an email and called asking if they were going to come. The person working in the office told me that they didn't have anybody to help me and that the soonest they could actually come was 5 days after. It is pretty clear that as soon as the complex gets your money and you sign the lease, they completely ignore you. Do not rent here.
