I rarely leave bad reviews, but this time the service was exceptionally terrible. Yesterday, I went to the location to get my nails done. There were about three people working, and I ended up being served by the older woman. She was careless in how she applied the nails, hastily putting them on and aggressively attempting to remove them to "fix" them. There was little care on her part. Later, I chose one of those machines and injured my thumb. I ended up bleeding profusely, but she seemed unapologetic about it. The entire process was painful and rushed. I wasn't properly cared for, and to this day, my thumb is very swollen, and the other nails were improperly applied.

I have always been one that bounced from salon to salon. The work would be great at first, but then they get sloppy, and inconsistent. (Ladies, you know what I mean) That all changed when I started coming to see Kat at Essence Beauty Bar. She is a master of her craft, and I have yet to leave there disappointed. On occasion a nail will be a little longer than I wanted, but all I have to do it ask, and she will fix it right away, all the while smiling and enjoying your conversation. She is a true professional, and truly will take as long as needed to ensure that her customers leave satisfied. I love her work, I love the atmosphere, and I will never go anywhere else. PS. I've also seen Ash and Nancy when Kat is booked, and they are equally awesome! 10/10 recommend!

I had a truly truly horrific experience with Essence Beauty Salon! I left that salon very upset because I value my time and I dont tolerare disrespect. After I walked out of the salon I left them an honest negative review. I explained my poor experience on their Facebook page. Before they deleted my review. One of their disgruntled regular clients Marilyn harrased me with comments. Trying to skew my review and make lies about my own personal experience. So instead of getting an apology of some sort or a discount on a service. I was bullied by a troll instead! I do not recommend this salon whatsoever! Unprofessional and mean spirited. Ultimately they made me feel terrible for expressing my experience. Smh.

Horrible staff. If you value your time don't go here! I've had more than one bad experience here! Instead of giving you a discount or apologizing for your bad experience. They have their clients do their dirty work! I had one of their regular clients harass me and a bad review comment I left on their Facebook page they then deleted. I saved it all on my end for proof!
