I’ve had the pleasure of purchasing my first firearm from here and it was an epic experience. The conversation was enlightening and it didn’t feel like it was just business as usual but personal. I loved it so much decided to get my second pistol from here and probably any future purchases.

1. The photo of the door is THE DOOR TO ISLAND ARMORY...RIGHT UNDER 24800! Walk in and ring bell.2. In an industry where size does not matter...you have the Bauers! Jayson & Natalie are small, yet they pay attention to details. LISTEN to their phone message...because they offer 4 opportunities for contact: Phone, voice/text cellular and Email. They have a web site.3. Their specialty is NFA items (suppressors, SBR's, etc.) and Glock...and from what I can tell, they handle FFL transfers quite nicely. Unfortunately for me I am not a resident, so my choices were limited on what I could buy.Their knowledge of details, right/wrong approaches to 2nd Amendment (NFA) purchases and legalities of NFA put them in a very special category of small gun shop owners. If you value integrity, quality of experience and product knowledge, or you need professionally and discreetly (most importantly, legally) handled firearms transfers and purchases...Well, you have found the place Michiganders.Look no further. I Wont ever go anywhere else again. Amazing communication, experience, customer service, reliability, and knowledge. The exact experience you want from a business. I don’t ever take the time to write reviews but I felt it Unjust to both anyone looking for an FFL as a consumer, as well as The Island Armory as a business.

If you want to go to a real gun shop, where the owners know what they are talking about, and can get you anything you are after, this is the place! I called and they kept the store open for my wife and I (past hours) as I wanted to surprise her with a Glock. Not only were they very welcoming and not pushy, but took their time and gave us really good insights to find the perfect gun. I was so impressed that I ended up ordering a special one that I was originally not even thinking about for another couple years. But with the great deal my wife got, and their wanting to be sure that we were happy, I couldn’t resist. This is like no other gun store I have been to in the best of ways! Thank you both for an incredible experience!

Island Armory is the best place to trust hands down. Whether you are purchasing, researching, or trying to educate on the laws & safety, I cannot think of anyone more generous and helpful than Jayson. So many times I’ve referred a question his way (mind you, I haven’t been able to make a purchase yet!) and he is always willing to answer and help with any questions I have about gun laws, selling and buying, and little things that first-time gun owners wouldn’t know.I overheard someone’s experience during their C&C class and they said they same, SO professional and knowledgeable.He is one of the funniest business owners out there but when it comes to his knowledge and professionalism, he is the best I know. I would trust him over anyone else.

I'm a new gun owner and my first experience was with the Island Armory. I have read some of the recent reviews and I am sad that such a great group of responsible people can be so bitter . I have had nothing but a great experience. I started by taking the CWL class during which the owners Natalie and Jayson explained all of the finer points of gun care and ownership and then I went on to purchase my first weapon, which during the process Natalie sat down with me, and went through all the finer points showing me the ins and outs of the weapon. I highly recommend this place because of the owners. You can always find a weapon but it's the personalized service that make the experience great. And to some of the detractors out there, yes you have every right to spend your hard earned dollar anywhere you please but don't be too harsh because someone has had a bad day. I find it very interesting that some hunters will sit for hours and days on end and and never get a shot off, but don't have the patience to try to give this little store a break. Happy hunting. Thx Natalie and Jayson for all you do to promote safe professional approaches to gun ownership.

Showed up, ready to drop some money on a new Glock, and apparently the owners don't care about posted hours. I showed up at 2:00pm (they apparently close at 3:00 and reopen at 4:30), and there's no one here. This shop is already inconvenient enough, with their weird hours and not being open on weekends, and you apparently can't count on them to be in the shop when they're supposed to be open. I'm spending my money elsewhere, and I'd suggest you do the same. Completely unprofessional.

Love these guys super comfortable and very professional family ran gun store … they have all kinds of products with reasonable prices, trust me u go here once you’ll wanna come back… I bought a diamondback AR pistol and I’m extremely satisfied with my purchase … do not hesitate to give them a call to schedule u an appointment to buy yours or if u have any questions…

Great place, great inventory when it’s available, and the owners make it their mission to educate you on your god given 2nd amendment rights should you not know or be aware of any updates with what’s going on. Definitely check them out.
