Hands down the best jeweler in Michigan. Nick sold me a beautiful engagement ring for my girlfriend and gave me a killer deal on it, he also helped me out by giving me a steal on a 14k solid gold Cuban link chain, since another jeweler had ripped me off on the one I was wearing when I walked into his store. About a week later, I needed a pair of earrings for my daughter and he came thru again, hands down the best quality jewelry I have purchased at the best prices I’ve seen anywhere. Keep in mind I’ve been in at least 20-30 jewelry stores in the last couple of months and I am now a forever customer of Lavdas. Thanks Nick!!!

This is the best jeweler I have ever used, excellent inventory and amazing prices, I have been using Nick for years and he keeps selling me the absolute best diamonds and gold jewelry at prices way below any one else, and yes I have checked lol

BUYER BEWARE. Don't let their charm scam you. This place will say anything to make a sale and will not back their word. Sold me a p.o.s necklace that isint even worth half of what I bought it for. Now I'm concerned that my wedding ring I bought from them is worth less than the dirt on the bottom of my shoe. Do yourself a favor and shop elsewhere.

Very friendly people! I came in a busy Saturday right before Christmas with a busted up wedding ring! They got it reshaped and back on my finger in about a half an hour! Shined up and ready to go so I could enjoy my day with my ring attached!Thank you Thank you!

I visited the store Jan. 2 with my daughter. She was trying to get the value for an engagement ring that she has. Sadly, she was trying to get rid of the ring because the relationship ended. My daughter was persistent about going into the store because it's local. I told her that I prefer not to patronize any of the Lavdas family businesses. And guess what...they proved me right! This young woman goes into the store to sell a ring that is tied to hurt and disappointment and a man comes out who I'm 99% sure was the owner and yells across the store, "Did you get this from one of those mall stores?" My daughter was mortified and hurt all at the same time. And if she did get it from a mall store...So what! Does that make her less than ?! She replies with tears in her eyes, "No I didn't." He then says to her, "To get the best bang for your buck, you might want to sell it on eBay or something." This guy literally had the ring for not even 5 minutes. He gave no attention to the ring that he treated like a bubble gum machine ring. Needless to say they are the worse. Horrific customer service. And I had heard this from many people. Although, it's been said if you're dropping thousands you'll receive top notch service! Hum....Well this is why I buy from Diamond Jim's in Madison Heights! Great family business. You can come into the store to shop with your pj's on and they treat everyone the same! Which is why they will continue to get my business. Lavdas needs to understand any and everyone that walks through their doors is a potential customer. My daughter could have turned right around and purchased her future engagement ring from Lavdas. Arrogance equates to stupidity. To lose 1 customer is too much in our current economy. No one has to buy jewelry. It's not a necessity! In the end, Diamond Jims took time to clean and grade the ring and gave her several options! Thank you Diamond Jims for your years of service in the community and for treating your customers as humans.

They don't even deserve one star but it won't allow zero stars. My mother's widower took her wedding ring for an appraisal as part of settling her trust. When I reviewed the document, it was almost entirely inaccurate! When I took it in to question it, their only solution was to CHARGE ME for a new appraisal. The original is so off that I have to wonder just what piece they were looking at.
