We arrived on Thursday Oct 24 and check out on Sunday Oct 27. The clerk Candice was wonderful. The hotel was clean. Our room 270 was very clean. And smelled fresh. The beds were clean and comfortable. Very quiet. The breakfast was great with seating. And also on the second floor with access from the Lobby.
Rooms: Very clean
Food and drinks: Plenty of restaurants around. Recommend the chicken Shack.

I had stayed here a couple times 4 years ago and I was pleasantly pleased with the renovation. Good experience overall.
Rooms: Thought the room was exceptionally clean which is of utmost importance to me.

Fidel on nights was super helpful with check in and can give good recommendations for things around the city.
Definitely appreciate the hospitality. The place is well kept and the day shift manager, Semaj is a good dude also. Thanks for a pleasant stay. Will return and recommend.

Great burb outside of Detroit metro. Rooms were clean. Continental breakfast. Very bright and new looking inside. Would stay here again.

One of the best hotel experiences I've had in a while. My room was very neat and clean and I was very impressed that they had Dove products for hand soap, lotion, body wash, shampoo, and conditioner. None of those cheap toiletries that most hotels have. I was also very pleased with the continental breakfast which offered pork substitutes. I will definitely be staying here next time I'm in the area!!

First time staying here, overall great experience.
Right off the highway, breakfast was good, rooms are comfortable. Parking lot security.
-Room did kind of smell like smoke.
-Stayed on first floor, up until about 1 am there was someone running up and down the hall way (what it sounded like) and a group of people being pretty loud who walked past a few times. I was awake anyways so I was unbothered by it. If this would bother you, I'd recommend staying on 2nd floor perhaps.
I would stay here again.

During my stay on Sept. 4th, I discovered bugs (roach, etc.) in my room. I informed the desk clerk during checkout the next day, and he reacted as if he was aware of the situation.

The best thing about this place: Shawn the lady who looks after breakfast. She is the happiest most friendly and all-round lovely person I have met at a HIE free breakfast in all my travels! I told her boss too. She is a great start to everyone's day. I am a Platinum Elite member and I have to say the greeting when I arrived was disappointing ... no acknowledgement of my status and the room key was only programmed for 1 night not all 3. The AC in the room was pretty good and it wasn't noisy. A lot of the reviews mention the smell of smoke and weed throughout, and I agree with them. The room smelled musty. When I got into the shower my feet were black, the carpets must be filthy (how gross). There is a small gym with 4 machines. Surrounding the hotel are plenty of fast food places, convenience stores and a Kroger's. It seems like a safe area. Easy access to the freeways. Would I stay again? Maybe if I was in the same area.

08/24/2024 - Stayed at this Holiday Inn Express Detroit - Warren. There are only two levels at this HIE and it a long structure. Conveniently near I 469. Nice and clean areas, rooms, and restrooms. There is a small gym and indoor pool. Their intercontinental breakfast always hits the spot. Nice and friendly staff. Big parking space walking distance to the Holiday Inn Express. Decent prices.

The entire place stinks of pot. We had 2 adults and 2 children in our room, but weree only allowed 2 towels. We had to return 2 wet towels every morning to get 2 fresh towels so everyone could bathe.

Very Friendly staff, especially housekeeping. Clean inside and out, awesome hot and cold breakfast, including omelets, sausage, pancakes and waffles with fresh fruit. Everyone in hotel seemed very happy the entire 5 day stay.

Not a great area. Staff are friendly but the hotel itself is pretty gross. The owners are too cheap to maintain the facilities. All the rooms are musty and smell like mold.
