Urban floors has done a beautiful job installing flooring in my home. I am very happy with the expertise of the flooring installer and grateful for the support of the office manager and owner who helped me with my selection. They also went above and beyond to make sure I was ultimately very happy with my installation by leveling the floor in necessary areas and overcoming some challenging obstacles in my existing home. Urban Floors was hired in the fall of 2021 after the purchase of our home for vinyl flooring installation, drywall work, sourcing kitchen cabinets and cabinet installation. After going through other customer reviews and pictures of work performed, we were excited to be working with Marc as he assured us one of his best guys would be working on our home.
Our experience from this point forward quickly became a nightmare, much like the other 1-star reviews that have been submitted since we started. To start, Urban floors outsources their work to different crews. Once the work is started, they have very little to no involvement in the project. Numerous times I had to reach out to make complaints because of the quality of work, not following installation instructions from the manufacturer, and an overall lack of respect to our home and possessions. A lot of time we found our concerns falling on deaf ears because they were too busy or were told they would take care of it and never did. We were hoping to not have to be involved so heavily in managing the project. I constantly had to watch how things were done and provide materials and tools that the crew didn’t have because they weren’t properly prepared. The onsite project manager had to constantly be reminded of what work needed to be done and even then things were left incomplete or not done correctly.
Within 1 month of project completion, we began having issues with our floor separating. 3 months from the project completion we've encountered poorly installed kitchen cabinet issues. Since our project completion, trying to resolve the issues has been a constant battle. Urban Floors has grudgingly come out to attempt to fix things, but there has yet to be a fix that ends in an outcome we are satisfied with. Flooring has been nailed down and glued together due to the separation which is not aesthetically pleasing and things are progressively getting
worse. Cortec, our flooring manufacturer, has sent out 2 separate independent flooring inspectors to evaluate our flooring and each inspection has resulted in an improper installation. If you do choose to work with this company, save all forms of communication. You may be called a liar or that it was your choice in choosing "cheap" material. If our flooring was "cheap" material, why distribute it and potentially ruin the Urban Floors reputation?
Watch and check everything, and don’t believe everything you are told. Both flooring reports we had to involve Cortec to get a copy because we were told by Urban Floors we were not allowed to see the final inspection report. Cortec came back saying that Urban Floors is required to provide this information to the customer. Like a previous reviewer has mentioned, I suppose this 1 star review will receive a reply about how I’m unreasonable and a cheap customer. My advice though, find another source or be prepared for poor customer service.

Damaged my floor by nailing it down. Also installed with improper gap spacing. Boards are coming up and I have to get the entire job refinished properly. Go somewhere else, they overcharge and completely screw you on install.

We had vinyl plank installed in October 2023. Mark measured and Mike did an excellent job of installing it. He was a perfectionist in every way. It is beautiful! I would highly recommend Urban Floors for any flooring project.
