After a horrific experience at AutoZone…I called Scott at the Walled Lake Tuffy about issues I was having with my car battery. Even though I didn’t have an appointment, he told me to come in and they would definitely help me. Within 15 minutes, the problem was diagnosed and Scott personally installed my new battery. As another bonus…my time in the waiting area was dare I say “enjoyable”. Comfy seats, great selection of snacks and drinks and a friendly woman running the front desk (I didn’t get her name). I will be giving them all my future business.

I thought leaving a review after some time has passed, would be best to give an accurate review. I brought both of our cars in for front and rear brakes. New rotors and pads. One of the cars had a problem with the new pads a few days after the install. I brought the car back, and a new set of pads were put on at no charge, no fuss from them. The first car had around 44,000 miles on it when I brought it in. It now has 76,000 miles with no issues with the brakes. The second vehicle had 37,000 miles on it, which now has 61,000, again, no brake issues. So, thumbs up on my experience , and I'll bring my cars back when it's time.

We had an exhaust pipe that had a broken bolt stuck in it, we spent hours trying to get it out, breaking many drill bits and crap, but we decided to try to take it to Tuffys and see if they would help. They were quick to help and got the bolt out within 5-10 Mins. If you need car service, go to The Tuffys in Walled Lake, they are nice and helpful! They didn't even charge us when we asked for a price, it helped out so thank you guys!

Need what I thought was just an alignment on my tires cause of some issues with vibration in my steering wheel after a tire rotation. Turns out that both ball joints were bad and another issue. Even though no one wants to hear that you need MORE work done, but I'm super grateful for the time given to inspect my car and give me the information straight. Also the job was done same day so I was very impressed with the services and work of everyone involved ?

Made appointment online for oil change at 10. Arrived with very limited parking and was told they only change oil at 8 a.m. huh. They just lost a customer and any reference from me.

Amazing customer service. I had taken my truck to 3 other mechanics. None could find the problem and 1 was dishonest and cost me a lot of money. Becca is extremely knowledgeable about any issue I mentioned. I loved her genuine care and concern. Her advice saved me a lot of time and money. She was exceptionally helpful. I will only go to this Tuffys for any future services.

It used to be WONDERFUL under the previous owner. Currently, misleading about the amount of time required for diagnosis. Promised same day diagnosis, yet 2 days later it was still "being tested" with no idea when they might know something. No more payment plans. All the previous staff is gone, except one mechanic. Not as reliable or as trustworthy as under previous owner. Nice, clean, environment with coffee, tea, snacks, and comfortable seating.

Always took my car here when Art was owner and it was great. Just took it today first time since new owner took over and STILL great. Becca was terrific as well as the mechanic Mark that inspected my car and saved me from spending hundreds. Friendly and honest, thank you!

We had a discount card from years ago with the previous owner is why we chose to go back. And we found out it had changed owners but we decided to still go here. We had needed way more work than we thought. But the price for all the work done was VERY reasonable. Especially after I did research online and since my hubby usually does all our repair work. (He didn't have the time to do this larger repair nor the exact tools he needed). Thank you Tuffy for understanding we were in a bind and giving us a good price and getting it all done in one day. I am so glad we decided to still give Tuffy a chance after we found out the great owner had sold his business. I hope he knows his business is still in good hands and still has a good reputation and good name

$160 for the tester, they were going to gouge me $1500 for a tune up. I brought my own plugs and coils to the shop across the street and they did it for $400

Stopped in to the Tuffy Tire & Auto Service Center in Walled Lake last week for an oil change. Was greeted by Becca, who was friendly, knowledgeable and made me feel very welcome. Had originally talked with Scott on the phone, who was also very courteous and took the time to answer all of my questions. While my oil was getting changed, I asked Becca about some repair work needed on my car. She was able to quickly break it down for me, letting me know what the initial evaluation would cost and how long it would be before they could let me know what needed done and how much the repair would cost. I would feel very comfortable taking my car here for any future service needed. The young guy who changed my oil was also excellent at his job, prepared to show me pictures of the existing leak and the oil filter which he had pulled. Very professional service from top to bottom. Highly recommend you give this place a chance.
