I have seen this particular car wash location change hands a couple of times. My daughter even worked there for a short time at one summer and had a nice experience. I am happy to see that this location has installed automated cashier machines so choosing your car wash is a pretty simple deal, but there is always an attendance standing by in case you have trouble

I received a gift card for Jax at Christmas and since Christmas multiple Jax’s locations told me they weren’t trained on how to redeem it (Brighton across from Costco being one of the many). It’s been a few months since the holidays so I came to this location as it’s near my house. The guy at the window “locked” the machine trying to use it and called over this long-haired guy. He came over and tried to scan it but said it wasn’t valid. I explained to him about the Christmas gift and having issues redeeming it. He just kept insisting that they don’t put memberships on there and it had to be an amount of money. I agreed, it was the amount of money for the 3-month membership. He just kept insisting that I was wrong and seemed upset that other Jax’s had given me free car washes when they couldn’t redeem it. I had to ask to be let out because he just wanted to argue about it. He is now calling the police on me because I’m sitting in my car typing this review.

I've been going to Jax car wash for about 2 years. Today I paid the extra $5.25 for rim cleaning, tire shine, wax etc.. I'm upset that I paid for the extra service and the tires and rims look awful. I also carry towels with me because I'm having to dry off the back(they don't dry), or the roof.
It's a shame I can't post pictures here.

This was the worst car wash I’ve ever had. I had snow on my car and now it’s full of soap. They didn’t use enough water to even rinse my car properly. You can’t even tell it’s been washed. Waited in a huge line and they didn’t take the time to rinse my car before the wash started. The brushes didn’t even clean the back of my car. Ever since Jax took over the quality of service has decreased. Waste of money!

They didn't wash my front bumper, and I think they have the 1 minute rule for drying your car off.

1. Not only do they more than double the rates over night after taking over, they monopolize an entire area so you have no alternatives unless you want to search for and then drive far away.
2. They give you an email notice when you sign up, a front shield sticker, and then when you cancel - all good, right? No. See below.
3. Let's say you really need a car wash - maybe it's winter and you're in a hurry, etc. and decide to pay just for a singe wash. Now you're in trouble:
4. This unscrupulous company signs you back up on a ~$35/month basis, even though all you wanted was a single pay and paid with credit card.
5. Even though you (i) receive no email verification that you did so, and (ii) do not get a new sticker, you are now unwittingly and unwillingly a monthly customer.
6. When you finally realizes this (in my case, after three months), and complain about it to the car wash company, you get nowhere; the credit card company rules their way because you have no proof to provide.
7. So, all you have to go by is that (i) they never sent an email that they signed you up again or (ii) they never issued you a new sticker (I had peeled mine off after the promo when I first cancelled), the credit card company does not hear your side and just approves their monthly bills.
8. You cannot prove a negative - but in any court they would have to (i) explain why they never sent you a sign-up email, as when you first signed up many months ago, and (ii) why they never issued you a new sticker, and thus their only 'proof' is that they have a picture of your car registration plate.

Was such a deal when I got two months for $15/each. Even at $25 it’s a great wash in walled lake.
