Giving a one star as the last 2 years I've been in it seemed like my tax consultant was confused more than she wasn't. Then come to find out my 22 and 23 taxes were filed incorrectly for city taxes. I should be paying walker city and it was claimed under grand rapids. Depending on how the conversation goes and if the manager actually calls me back I may change my review. I will now have to miss work to get this situation fixed and have my $1200 back.

My husband and his business partners scheduled an appointment to get their small business taxes done. Today one drove from Detroit and the other from Kalamazoo to meet with their partner in GR. They arrived (a week before business taxes are due), but were told that they had been scheduled with “an old guy who keeps messing stuff up” so they couldn’t get their taxes done today! They were literally turned away and told to go home. They also had no say in who they were scheduled to see because the online system determined who the appointment is with. Giant waste of time and gas money. Incredibly unprofessional.3/24The person they were rescheduled for spent their entire appointment printing out copies of the forms H&R Block prompted them to upload before the appointment to “save time” and was completely uninformed about modern business expenses such as Google. This appointment continues to be a waste of their time and they were sent home to file an extension because they were told their business taxes will not be done in time. What is the point of working with professionals then?

H and R Block Called ME 15 Times between dec 1st and January 1st to come get my taxes done. Finally I made an appointment which I came to and was double booked and Sat for an hour before a manager stepped in to at least get them done. I was given a 30 dollar credit off the whooping 200 dollar price tag of a simple 1040 ez. Then several weeks later and still no tax return I wait and wait as H and R block tells me my return is accepted and the return will come soon. Well that's not the case my taxes were flagged with identity theft for no reason. I was not notified and would literally be waiting forever if I was not pushing Block for answers. Now I have to try and Unlock my taxes is all on me, with a loop of talking to H and R Block, then the IRS and back again. Finally I found out the IRS sent H and R block the id verify letter with the code i need. Yet they said they do not receive mail and that i can get that number online. All False. Currently working on disputing the tax charges with my bank and will never contact Block again.Avoid Avoid Avoid

I’ve been going to this tax service for two decades. The lack of respect, accountability, and professionalism at this location, is the reason I will not be returning to any H&R Block.BBB report will be filed.
