Unfortunately, I can’t recommend this practice. Others should know how this practice treats patients during emergencies.
I called the office right at 8:00 seeking an appointment for my dog who woke up with a swollen eyelid, redness, and an eyeball that looked as though it had been “pushed back” into the orbital. I relayed my concerns to the manager who let me know that the dog “probably has a cold” and that they could see me in 7 days. I was skeptical, I had thought eye injuries/issues were best treated ASAP, but I booked the appointment. I did a quick search of dog eye injuries after the call, and realized that they are (by most practices) treated as emergencies that warrant timely/immediate care to avoid blindness, and that my dogs eye looked like many of the photos. I called the vet back straight away, and this time asked for an emergency appointment. The manager let me know that all the emergency spots were taken for the day and that I could call back in 2 days to see if another emergency appointment would be available. I asked if I could just secure an emergency appointment now (as in next available) given that I realize I do have an emergency and that I am not sure what to do. I was then told “don’t believe everything you read online”, implying there was no emergency. It was explained that this is not an option, and that I would have to call back at 8:00 am in two days and to try my luck again or go to a walk-in clinic. When asked why I couldn’t just secure an emergency appointment, I was told I could look for a new vets office.
I opted for the walk-in clinic, they confirmed that the dog had more than “a cold” and agreed that waiting a week to be seen would not have been advisable.
What is most disheartening is how dismissive the manager was saying “it’s just a cold” and “don’t believe everything you read online”, let alone telling me I should leave the practice totally. It’s not acceptable to tell patients with an emergency to wait a few days and call back to see what happens, but that’s their policy according the manager …

Girls think every thing you day is a joke when you call. Things have changed. Office staff have new girls and they're extremely rude. They laugh at you. Been going here many years. Time for a change. We will miss Dr Burr

This place has gone downhill since doc Main retired, coming from over a 30-year customer I will never be coming back. These people should be embarrassed of their behavior and practices. My indoor Bengal cats get deathly sick from these people's. Great suggestions as far as vaccinations, and they're going to force the vaccinations and rabies on me to be a customer. I switched to Texas corners, wonderful people and wonderful veterinarians. I'll be a customer for life, since Doc Main left this place doesn't even offer the same services or the same quality. I had a litter of puppies and they said if the toenail on the rear was extra it was an option to remove, now I have these huge nails that must be trimmed. It's like a dewclaw. Just another mistake because I went to this veterinarian
