“Too bad, I can't give Home Depot 6 stars! Here's why: Today, I was in need of a garbage disposal, (Initially dealt with another major supply store, but sadly, due to several weeks of ongoing issues with miscommunication and lack of inventory, given reassurances and awaiting phone calls to fix the matter, I decided to get a refund and take my business elsewhere.) Hence, searched online, picked out a Badger 5 / 1/2 HP product to purchase.Contacted Home Depot Rochester Hills service desk, spoke to Mike K, who connected me with Beth (Plumbing/Kitchen Dept.)Beth not only helped me locate my requested product, she also pulled another comparable product to allow me a secondary choice along with product pricing, she immediately set up a Home Depot service person to contact me for my garbage disposal installation, and was able to pay for it right over the phone.She reassured me, that she would pull both disposals, set them on a counter, and instructed me to go directly to Kitchen department for pick-up.To my surprise, approximately, 30 minutes later, the Home depot serviceman called me, set up an appointment to install my garbage disposal, today.Mind you, I was just getting my shoes on to pick- up the disposal.Of course, I made an appointment as soon as I was able to pick up the disposal.Beth kept her word, when I arrived at the store, that's exactly where I found the disposals setting; at the Kitchen counter showroom. No time to waste, the Badger 5 unit was my choice, so, I proceeded to walk to the service desk where a very nice cashier, quickly assisted me on my purchase.Finally, got home and to my amazement, my husband was waiting at the door, laughingly, grabbed it from me, to hand to the serviceman Stanley, who was there in the kitchen ready to install.Wow!He had actually already removed the old disposal and awaited the new one, in the time that I was coming home from the store.Wow! Home Depot and their serviceman were totally on the ball today! My husband and I are very satisfied customers, impressed with Home Depot's fast and excellent service, and highly recommend anyone searching for great service to go to Home Depot in Rochester Hills.Thank-you Home Depot employees: Mike K, Beth, Stanley the serviceman, and all others who assisted me and provided OUTSTANDING service.”

“Review from a Gardner: I get most of my standard pots, soil, and fertilizer here--prices are very inexpensive and they have lot's of specific quality brands for things like cactus soil and root hormone. But if I want specialty or decorative pots, I go to one of the nearby local garden centers as they don't carry much variety like that here. I also do NOT get plants here, I've seen mites and gnats hanging on them. Home Depot is not primarily a garden store so they probably don't have someone dedicated to keeping their plants healthy. Outside of gardening, the store has great pricing on grilling goods and whatnot. I recently loaded up on a bunch of moving boxes, bubble wrap, etc. and it was about $40.”

I learned that what I needed were unprocessed roses, and my timing was perfect to buy some. The gentleman who helped me was very patient and kind, and I’m so grateful. “Fruit and veggies very good. Corn outstanding. Most items a bit pricy about same prices as Kroger or Wal-Mart. But personal service Kroger and Wal-Mart can't compare. It's a bit of a drive for me but in the spring when I was looking for vegetable seedlings to put in my small garden the attention to customers needs was fantastic. And, while my tomato plants, cucumber plants and green pepper plants along with yellow hot pepper plants that I bought a Olejnik farms have provided me with tremendous amount of veggies I'm just going back to help them stay in business.”

“I got the pleasure of visiting this beautifully adorable garden center today with my preschooler's class field trip. They do a really fun Halloween themed kid tour designed for small children with fun activities including a "spooky" train ride, crafts, corn maze, cider and donuts. I'm an admitted plant addict so I just had to do a little window shopping. Some of the garden decor is absolutely breathtaking and all the plants looked so healthy and large. If only I had more time and space to bring things back with me (lol), but I was riding the school bus. I will definitely be back again. I want to do the full 5 stars, but some of the prices were quite steep.”

They asked what the issue was and asked for documentation of the damaged product and agreed to send a replacement. In this day and age when someone doesn't reply to your email don't give up and rip em. Call and explain that it's frustrating and let the business rectify the issue. You have my business George.”

“After visiting 3 other grow stores in the metro Detroit area, I've had the best experiences with Northern Lights. Like others have mentioned, they're one of the only spots carrying Build A Soil and other organic amendments. I went to another shop in the area yesterday when NL was closed, and that shop told me everything they carry is organic (its all liquid salt based ferts lol). NL won't push products on you, and the only thing you'll complain about is that they're not open on Sunday”
