We spend six figures at Home Depot annually, and typically I don't need anyone to help me in the store. I know what we need, go in and grab it. But this store is by far one of the worst ones I deal with when it comes to having to interact with its employees. Recently, I had an issue with a piece of lawn equipment and tried returning it. I was outside the 30 day window to return gas products, which is completely understandable. But the way I was treated by the front desk staff doing returns that day was subpar to say the least. They cared more about getting back to their conversations they were having before I walked in. Thankfully, Brandon (ASM) was able to help me further and we resolved the issue. But this morning I had called about a Halloween decoration they have listed on their website that says it is available, in limited stock, and you have to visit/call the store. I called and the lady who answered could not have been more rude. "THEY'RE NOT ON SALE YET!!!". She could have easily explained that they are being stored up in the rack until a certain date to be released by corporate like the Shelby Township people so kindly explained to me when I called them. It seems like almost every single associate at Utica has an attitude and hates the customer. It has to be coming from leadership, which is sad as a former HD employee and a current business owner in remodeling. Do better up there guys.

After asking a staff member for assistance because we wanted to buy a grill, we waited 15 minutes and no help came. My experience before this I had a copy of a key made, the staff members attitude was astonishing. After 15 minutes passes, seeing the staff member stocking, and no help coming we left…went to Lowe’s up the street, didn’t even have to ask for help there a staff member noticed we were looking at grills. Had the same one at Home Depot, so in 15 minutes total we were in and out of Lowe’s. Long story short, skip Home Depot and go to Lowe’s.

My wife and I just bought a Ryobi chainsaw attachment today. While taking stuff out of the box, we found trash, actual trash. Wrappers and old food were stuffed in the box. The chainsaw had been used as well and had twigs and stuff smashed into it. So someone returned the product without cleaning it, and nobody at Home Depot even looked in the box!
Luckily, all of the parts were in it, but buying someone else's trash is not something I expected from a $100 product.

I want to say that it is preferable to buy from the Amazon store rather than wasting time at Home Depot. For example, you ask where my nose is rubbing your feet. You show him a picture of the product you are looking to buy. The entire store will walk you through to show you the place. You want to buy a device that is on display and you liked the answer. We are sorry, it is not possible, unavailable.

Never again, I bought 5 appliances totaling 6k and none were installed after paying the installation fees. Not only that, the lady Faith was rude and told me it was my fault the dishwasher was not installed. In her exact words " I should have known how long the cord should be ". I can't believe they think I should be an expert in dishwasher Installation. She did not know math and could not total the bundle package. My fridge was returned and in the middle of buying the new fridge she had some Comments and attitude. So I cancelled a $2,000 Fridge purchase and if it were up to me I would have cancelled all my other purchases and went to Lowes. I am now a Lowes customer. Bye bye HomeDepot. Salem did my original purchase a d was very nice and Rachel the manager of course heard Faith and her response to Faith was not ok, as a manager something should have been said about customer service to faith. A kindergarten math test should be a pre requisite for that dept.

Did a couple loops of confusion in the lighting department but was relieved when Georgette saved the day and helped me with exactly what I needed! Reccomended another great attachment, too!! Her kindness made the trip worth it and then some. ??

So many people with head stuck in a dark place, rude, no employees, no help, no staff, prices are out of site, stock low. Hate going there, been using Ace, nit much better but have stock.
