Whistle Stop Grocery is a small, cute cafe and gourmet grocery on the Red Arrow Highway. It is full of cool gourmet items and features a great display of baked goods from their own and different bakeries. The food is great, including breakfast sandwiches and amazing herb aioli. For coffee, the drip coffee is a standard dark roast, but the special drinks are standouts. These include seasonal specials like the strawberry vanilla cold brew and the iced white chocolate mocha strawberry latte, which are very good and surprisingly filling. The employees are super cool, friendly, and joke with customers. A common note is that the line for food can be very long, with long wait times, making ordering online a recommended service. It is a destination worth traveling for, offering a nice little cafe experience and delightful finds.
Always love this spot, just a pure lake (MI) vibe. However, last couple visits just ok. Breakfast sandwich, waited 30 minutes for order, which was fine. Stayed to eat, it was on the warm/somewhat colder side. I know they are packed with orders, but there needs to be a better way to get people through.

Great food, great display of baked goods from their own and different bakeries. We had breakfast sandwiches which were good but because we didn't eat them right away the scrambled eggs made the bread a bit soggy. Herb aioli was amazing.

Such a cute cafe and the employees were so friendly and joked around with my fiance which made the whole experience even better. We both got an iced white chocolate mocha strawberry latte and it was very good. Would definitely stop by again.
