The location is gorgeous, the farm us magnificent and the rooms are so romantic. We'd never been to Union Pier, and even though it's not that far from home it felt worlds away. Thank you so much for a magnificent getaway!Food & drinks: We went to Union Station for dinner and found the service and the food to be top notch as well and an incredible value.

We love Goldberry Woods! It’s always delightful and the staff is great. We also have allergy needs when it comes to food and they accommodate us well.

My family of eight including two children aged 11 and 5 stayed at the Rivers Edge Cottage over the Thanksgiving weekend. We enjoyed the house very much. The two king bed rooms had their own washrooms and two additional washrooms accommodated the remaining guests very well which we loved. The children slept in the room with built in bunk beds. The room was a great children’s room with a foosball table and enough space for play, we brought a projector with a very large screen for video games. The kitchen was very nice and adjacent to the family room with large tv- a really nice setup. Our kids loved the indoor pool and attached barn. The river trail was a very nice moderate to easy hike. We drove to St. Joseph for small business shopping and visited Barney’s in New Buffalo, a five minute ride, to stock the fridge. The staff was very responsive. We loved spending our time here and will to it again soon!

We love to be inspired by unique experiences so when I stumbled upon this place, I knew we had to give it a try. We are hospitality and restaurant folk so we appreciate the work it takes to create something fabulous and sustaining. It did not disappoint! The property is surrounded by ravine and river so it’s nice and private despite being close to other homes. There is the main INN where we stayed. We stayed in Silver Maple. Fireplace, 2 person jacuzzi tub, TV and comfy bed with the best pillows and sheets! Cool natural wood bed frames and rustic charm. There is also the Inkeepers House plus another cottage you can rent and 2 renovated campers with bathrooms and kitchenette. The barn, gardens, pool/hot tub all a major plus. You can use the pop year-round because it’s in a greenhouse! Chickens, veggies, bees and trees. I would love to visit thought out the year to see how it changes. They are so close to Lake Michigan and have hiking trails in the property plus kayaking on the river! The host was lovely and made a wonderful breakfast. We were the only ones there (it was a Wednesday, day after Halloween) but I loved having the INN to ourselves. We completed a puzzle in the sunroom and made ourselves at home! Will be back! Stop scrolling, book now!

Truly a wonderful little getaway in a beautiful setting! I attended a wedding here Labor Day weekend where the couple had rented the property for the full weekend for a small intimate wedding. My husband and I were assigned the Flora airstream. We knew going into the weekend that we had the airstream with two twin beds - they were very comfortable and I loved the sheets! I had never stayed in an airstream before and it was really nice! The bathroom was better than I expected and we had full use of hot & cold water for the shower. I will say the lighting in the bathroom is pretty dim so a little tough to do makeup for a wedding haha! I did love that the kitchen was well stocked with beautiful cups & dinnerware. There was even coffee/tea and pancake mix for us to use. There were a few games for us ton play including my favorite - Scrabble! The negative thing about the airstream was all the spiders!! We caught quite a few and I'm sure there were more as there were spiderwebs/cobwebs on the drapery and ceiling. I'm used to camping in a tent and I've found less spiders in my tent in the past 10 years camping than we did in one night of the airstream. The wedding itself was beautiful. We were seated around 12pm, and it was shaded up until maybe 12:30pm when my side was fully in the sun. Thank goodness I brought a hat! The bride and groom looked beautiful under the archway. After the ceremony, the reception was set for the barn. It was a fun and festive atmosphere but with all the people, it got hot! We found out that the air conditioning had stopped working. Unfortunately this cut short the reception with lots of guests opting to head back to air conditioned rooms. After the wedding we went to the nearby beach and came back to enjoy the pool and jacuzzi. Overall, it was a beautiful weekend and I would definitely recommend this place as both a venue and a weekend getaway.

Very charming and well-run bed-and-breakfast. We came here for our anniversary weekend. It's close to new Buffalo and has walking trails and bicycles and canoes right on the property. The breakfast were also fantastic. The hosts are very friendly and responsive as well.

We cannot recommend this Bed and Breakfast enough. First of all, the breakfast was out of this world good! We had the best pumpkin pancakes I’ve ever had. The service was superb! Eric and Julie were at the ready with anything we needed from s’mores kits to recommendations for things to do. We loved the free canoes available for rent and just walking around the grounds. You truly never have to leave the property. The heated pool and hot tub were also perfect for relaxing at the end of the day. We can’t recommend this place enough for a relaxing weekend away.Rooms: We loved the bathtub with the window that allowed you to watch tv at the same time! How fun!

My husband and I spent two and a half very enjoyable days at Goldberry Woods. The forest and river setting is beautiful this time of year and very relaxing. Our room with its stone fireplace, comfy bed and spacious bathroom was cozy. Innkeepers Julie and Eric and their staff were very accommodating to the slightest need, like replacing an incandescent light bulb in the bedside lamp with a brighter LED bulb. The breakfasts were thoughtfully and artistically prepared and delicious, with many ingredients from their organic farm. We loved looking at the chickens and the gardens and I especially enjoyed time in the pool on a rainy afternoon. Lake Michigan, restaurants, wineries and breweries were all nearby. Who could ask for anything more? Just three hours from Detroit; we plan to return.

Romantic getaway in SW Michigan. This was our fourth stay at Goldberry Woods. The hosts are incredible as are the breakfasts. The rooms are very nice and spacious. Some (like ours) have large balconies for sitting. The property is large with hiking trails. Would recommend to anyone.

We had a fabulous experience at Goldberry Woods! We stayed for 2 nights while visiting family and attending a game at University of Notre Dame, and were delighted by the warm, welcoming atmosphere, the delicious food and beautiful grounds. Julie is a born hostess with the mostest and she and her staff made our stay so pleasant. We enjoyed walking through the crops and meeting the furry-footed chickens. The neighboring towns of Union Pier ans New Buffalo are adorable too, and the lake is super close. The room was clean and lovely with gorgeous bedding and plenty of space. Highly recommend!Rooms: Cozy, spotless and well appointed.

Eric and Julie are committed hosts. They are making this into a nice, comfortable spot. As they continue to upgrade it, it has a lot of promise. They were prompt in addressing a power outage from wind and their employees could have kept an adapter one of our participants left but instead they contacted me so I could get it. There is so much to do in the area: beaches galore, nature hikes, biking, shopping, and good restaurants.

My husband and I stayed here for three nights as part of our honeymoon, and it was incredible!! Julie and Eric take such care in everything here, and they both made sure we had everything we could need! The breakfasts prepared each morning by Carly were to die for, and overall the experience was perfect! Definitely recommend to anyone looking for a cute getaway on an adorable working farm!Rooms: Multiple spacious rooms in the Inn itself, as well as multiple cottages and a few super cute vintage campers on site! Our room was super clean and well kept, as well as well prepared!Food & drinks: Incredible breakfasts prepared each morning by one of the innkeepers, with produce fresh from their garden!
