Absolutely ideal scenario: we went for a drive to one of our favorite towns, decided to stay, drove past Garden Grove Inn & called. We not had a selection of very reasonably priced suites to choose from, our host was so so accommodating, setting out s’mores & preparing a veggie breakfast platter for us! We will absolutely be coming back. Thanks Hilary!

Beautiful, quiet inn close to Lake Michigan. The pups loved the rest and relaxation too.

Excellent breakfast, very flexible on meeting special dietary needs. Hillary went out of her way, at night, to make sure that AV equipment was in good working condition. We have been coming to Garden grove for many years, and have never been disappointed.

We enjoyed our second visit as much as our first: rooms are comfortable and beautiful; location is convenient to any activities you may wish to participate in; Hillary is welcoming and accommodating to special needs (ranging from an armless chair to food requests); and little touches throughout the main house add to the experience. Thank you, Hillary.Rooms: good variety of types of rooms and price points.

ReviewWe had a lovely stay at the Garden Grove Inn. The rooms we booked were nicely decorated, beds were super comfortable, sitting areas in the house were inviting & morning breakfast was delicious! Our host Hillary was super friendly and gave us good recommendations to wineries & restaurants. We know this won’t be our last visit!

I loved every minute of our stay at Garden Grove for a night away! We stayed in the Woodlands Suite which was exceptional. Private, so spacious and yet cosy. The double-sided fireplace made it super cosy on a very chilly March day. The bed was very comfortable too. One thing that stood out was how clean everything was, including the jacuzzi tub. It was as though the room had been detailed before our arrival! I added the lavender salts and highly recommend - made the room smell wonderful too. We had great local ground coffee in our room to make a fres pot, and appreciated the sparkling water in the fridge. Our fresh and delicious breakfast was delivered to our door by Kelli, a lovely team member. The Inn is so convenient for other locations, including the lake, antique shops, great cafes/restaurants. We had lunch at the Social and dinner at the Journeyman (both excellent) and enjoyed a great concert at the Acorn Theatre. I can't think of anything that would have made our stay better. Hillary - you've created a beautiful sanctuary. I hope you're not too busy for us to stay again;-)

First time staying here and we loved it. Hillary was great, very personable, told us about some things to do we hadn't done in all the years coming up here that we will try and made the BEST French toast and egg bites. We loved the unique artistic touches throughout the house (betty white in Rose room rocks), close to some fun wineries and look forward to coming back again in the summer to stay and kayak!

We had a lovely time staying at the Garden Grove Inn. As we arrived we were greeted by the vocally expressive outdoor cat Grayson. His enthusiasm foreshadowed the rest of our stay. Hillary and Kelly were warm, welcoming, and happy to share advice on near by destinations. As for the Inn itself, it was beautifully decorated with charming artwork sprinkled throughout. Our room was very clean and also tastefully decorated. Hillary was very attentive to our needs and easy to reach. Overall this bed & breakfast was a great experience and I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a place to stay in SW Michigan. Thank you Garden Grove, we loved you! P.S. the breakfast was very tasty!Rooms: Each room has a unique theme.

Garden Grove Inn is our number one B&B choice in Michigan! We love coming up in the summer and have recently started adding a winter weekend to relax, unwind, and slow down. This time we stayed in the Woodlands Room and loved the jacuzzi tub, fireplace and side sitting room. I was able to do yoga on the mat I brought, journaled, read and slept. Breakfast was spectacular, especially the blueberry scones, broccoli-cheddar quiche, and roasted potatoes. Hillary is a lovely host and adds all the details to make our stays delightful!

We had a great experience this weekend at the Garden Grove Inn. The property is in an ideal location. A short drive to New Buffalo and also the wineries in the area… and a 10-minute walk to St. Julian and Round Barn tasting locations and the Union Pier restaurants and shops along the Red Arrow Highway. Hillary was a gracious and helpful host. And the breakfasts were delicious. Highly recommend!

I loved staying at Garden Grove. The location is idyllic. I have stayed there twice so far. Once in the main house and 2nd time in the dog-friendly carriage house. Hillary puts such great care into the design, quality, upkeep and accommodations of the rooms. Rustic and elegant. The breakfasts were excellent. (And I also appreciated the complimentary cans of LaCroix). Hillary is also a great guide to the area, offering recommendations on restaurants, beaches, nature walks and other local attractions. My only complaints were that each of my stays were too short! But I look forward to returning.
