Started off great....but then went downhill.
We drove 45 minutes to find the right tile for our kitchen Reno. The sales girl was amazing and extremely helpful. A few weeks later we went back in to put our order in and add some boarder tile. Someone else helped us as our original sales person no longer works there. We left happy, and we're told everything would be ready to be picked up on Saturday.
My husband stopped to pick everything up, and was told it wasn't ready. I called the next day and the employee rudly said "it was ready yesterday". So, another 45 minute drive to pick it up.
My contractors get to work and then we realize we were given the wrong grout. Grey, not white. I had to drive down there again.....for the correct grout. Though I called ahead of time and was told to come in and they would correct it, the employee asked me where the grout was, and I said "mixed up and in the dumpster!" I showed him a picture of the bag and he finally gave me the right color.
Contractors then try to put the boarder around our accent piece and the tile is simply crumbling. I called explaining that we needed a refund for this border, and kept being told I must drive the pieces to them. I explained multiple times that we have already had to drive this hour and a half commute multiple times due to their mistakes. They finally ask me to send a picture of the pieces, which I did. Then, nothing.
My husband finally went in with the pieces. The employee was extremely unprofessional! Stated "in not sure why slate would be used for border". How in the hell would we know? This is what YOUR employees sold us when we asked for grey border! After a half hour of being there, she finally refunded the money.
I work in customer service and couldn't believe how we were treated through this process. Do yourself a favor, find a different store.

Lorraine at the Troy store was such a pleasure to work with. I was dreading the whole ordeal of picking out tile, grout, etc, it overwhelms me. As soon as I walked in Lorraine was there ready to help, she was so pleasant, very helpful and actually made my experience enjoyable (which I never expected). I will definitely go back there for all future projects and I hope Lorraine never leaves?

The Tile Shop provided friendly and helpful customer service along with QUICK delivery on a recent home project. Shoutout to Lorraine S at the Troy location for making my ordering experience perfect. I was able to purchase over the phone and pickup days later. So happy with the quality of the overall experience and title.

The following are reviews I left on Google but also want to share it here: EVERY CUSTOMER BEFORE PURCHASING ANYTHING FROM THE TIE SHOP SHOULD READ MY REVIEW IST BEFORE MAKING A DECISIONI am forced to come back one more time and present my situation. Please read the following review I wrote 2 months ago and I recieved a response from the owners assuring me that someone will reach out to me and it has been 2 months but unfortunately no one has contacted me by email or phone. so here u go again.qaisar manzoor2 reviews2 months agoBought natural stone tiles and grout for my kitchen and hallway. Soon after noticed a few scratches on the floor and called the contractor and he after careful research told me that The Tile Shop provided us the wrong grout. Contacted the Manager named Dan and on his ist visit he accepted the responsibility and asked for a little time. He disappeared and never contacted me. A month later I called him and asked him to come again because the scratches were getting worst he again inspected and both the times the contractor was present. Dan again accepted the full responsibility and told me he will do the paperwork and have his bosses approve the re-polish of the tiles and the whole process will take less than one week. He disappeared again and I contacted him and this time again I was told to give him a week and guess what he disappeared again. About 3 weeks back I called him and finally got hold of his and he said his bosses have refused to fix the tiles. I have decided to not let it go and have asked my lawyer to pursue this legallyTHERE ARE OTHER TILE COMPANIES WITH MUCH BETTER ETHICS AND CUSTOMER SERVICE. IT IS MY ADVICE TO STAY FROM ANYONE WHO PROVIDE YOU WITH WRONG MATERIAL AND AFTER ACCEPTING THE RESPONSIBILITY MULTIPLE TIMES DECIDE TO REFUSE TO FIX THE ISSUE.WILL SEE THEM IN COURT VERY SOONLikeResponse from the ownera month agoThank you for sharing your experience, we have reached out to upper management.

I ordered tile online to pickup here since I live 2 hours away. Even though I paid in full, an employee emailed me asking for a copy of my drivers license to verify my identity. I had to call the corporate line to correct this.Pick up was fine, except for an issue needing to deal with two accounts. They told me to return the 2 kinds of tile when the project was complete.During installation, they discovered one of the tiles were not cut to the same size. What should have been a clean rectangular pattern instead had to be cut to fit.When I tried to return, I was told by sales reps that my receipt says 60 days. Given the buffer time I needed to pickup, the duration of the construction, the time to drive 2 hours, and being told to bring it when I was done, 60 days was not feasible. They refused to take two boxes of tile.I spoke with one rep in Ann Arbor (was told I could return to any store) and two in Troy where I picked it up. Both in Troy told me the manager would call me, and that has not happened over a week+. Nobody could do anything about the different sized tile either.I will not shop here, I have not been made whole, and employees show a complete lack of care for customers.
