If I could give this location 10 stars I WOULD!
Ok, so I came to Detroit but accidentally left my makeup bag in my home state. I ran to Sephora because I have two engagements tomorrow and I needed some basics. EVERY single person I interacted with from the time I walked in was friendly and helpful.
Jose, the manager with the best hair ever, helped me find a replacement eyebrow pencil in my exact shade—and a travel version!
He then introduced me to Sami Jade who got me together—new, versatile lipstick and liner, a blush and bronzer duo from Anastasia, and I even got a new red lipstick (women can never have enough reds!)
I came in frantic and pressed for time, but the staff was warm, inviting and extremely helpful. I left feeling so well taken care of.
This store clearly had a positive and good culture and extremely strong leadership. Other locations can learn from them—and not just Sephora. Based on my experience today, I’d encourage other retail outlets to come in and see how they do things.
I’d happily spend my money here again.

I was greeted “Hi welcome in… or not” with a mean look on the employee’s face just because it took me a second to notice I was greeted. It was a bit packed in the store and it was my first time in at this location, kind of rude in my opinion.

Worker there was racist towards Muslims and harassed my little sister because she was Muslim and said many Islamophobic words towards my little sisters. The worker trashed Judaism beauty because she is a Muslim and said her makeup isn’t good because she is a Muslim. Something is wrong with the worker and called Muslims ugly. Would not go here.

Megan was wonderful. I came in with my 2 1/2 year-old and she was extremely patient and helpful. Had a lot of great suggestions. She was very knowledgeable.

This place is an absolute joke. I came in looking for a specific blush from Patrick Ta because it said it was available for buy online pick up in store. A free lancer offered to help me find it but she couldn’t so she recommended I asked an actual employee (which was very hard to find, seems like the freelancers are more willing to help then the employees) . The employee (I didn’t get his name, pretty sure it started with a M. He was a tall, skinny light skinned black man) checked on the mobile for me and said there was zero in the store. When I went up to the register to cash out, I just had a feeling to ask again since I could buy online and pick up in store so I did and Lena looked it up for me and said that there was two in the store and had her manager go grab it for me. (I would like to add that Lena was amazing). When the manager brought the blush over that the guy said that they didn’t have, I ended up telling her that he wasn’t very helpful to me and why and she didn’t even seem to care. Overall happy I left with my blush but very disappointed in the service from the Sephora employees and management. Also the store is absolutely disgustingly dirty, someone’s bound to catch an infection in there and I came in right when the store opened and so much wasn’t stocked that I could buy online and pick up in store.

I live about 30 minutes away. Excited to use the match machine. Unfortunately it did not match me up correctly and also the products that were purchased when I got them home did not match which made me think if the machine didn’t work why could you match me up yourself just was a waste of time and especially a waste of my money.

Sephora, please consider an age restriction for entry. This is not a place for a class of 6th graders on a field trip without their chaperones. The place and products are a mess. This is suppose to be a "luxury makeup store" it sure doesn't seem like it.

I walked in and was looking for a specific item,Dejha immediately greeted me with a smile and asked if she could assist me. She was very friendly and informational about the different products. I actually ended up purchasing some additional items that I hadn't thought about because of her thorough knowledge and cheerful disposition. I am happy that I stopped in today and got such amazing care and service!
