I went in last night around 7pm looking for a certain curling iron and nail polish color. I had an associate named Renee help me and they didnt have the curling iron on the shelf and she literally started opening a shipment they had and found me the one I needed! And even though they didnt have the nailpolish I wanted in stock she literally got on her phone and started searching for colors comparable. Super customer service and she was just the sweetest! Thank you for your help!!

Sally's beauty has always been one of my favorite beauty supply places to visit. I didn't even realize this location existed until the other day. I'm normally not the one to mention things like skin color but from the moment I walked in the staff was up on me like white on rice. At first I thought they were just being very attentive but as I continued to explore and shop it was becoming more and more obvious that it wasn't attentiveness because the white customers were having to beg for assistance to ask questions and get the help they were asking for and then seemed to have 2 or 3 personal shopping assistants without even asking for one to put it nicley. One even acting as if I was tainting their products because I opened a nail polish to inspect the true color because as we all know it's not always the same color when you open it as it is through the bottle. She claimed I opened the seal but unless it was just Invisable there was no seal on the nail polish to break she just wanted to make me feel like I ruined it and now she must take it off the shelf. She acted very annoyed and was the least friendly of the bunch and made it obvious I wasn't wanted there or purposely trying to make me uncomfortable with all of her whispering to the employees in front of me the entire time of my visit. I'm assuming she must have been the manager or assistant manager. Besides the rude treatment of the staff because of the color of my skin I really liked the store but I would never go back unless it advertised it was under different management. Anyone who is against this type of thing I suggest find a different beauty supply to shop at. I really hope these women don't have children to pass on this mind frame and way of treating people it's very unpleasant and unattractive. That's the last thing the world needs is more people like that. The sooner that breed fizzle out the better. I pray for people like that although I'm not sure if it really does them any good I can only hope

Jessie helped answer all my questions and walk me thru the at home bleaching process. I'm going thru some s*** in life and doing something to my hair is the best way to get it out right now. Some YouTube vids and following her advice to a T, I have a beautiful multi-dimensional burgundy color (only one process). These ladies know what they're talking about! Also follow their advice for after bleaching, the treatment she recommended has kept my hair soft and healthy.

I ordered from this location for 2 hour delivery, it’s been 2 hours since I ordered and it still says “processing” don’t offer something if you can’t fulfill it. I could’ve drove to the store and got it by now.

I accidentally ordered from the wrong store and the woman who helped me here was so nice. She helped me get everything I needed and cancelled my other order. Also, her curly blue hair is amazing.

Went in here for $100 worth of beauty products, clerk insisted 20x I sign up for a Sally's beauty card. Never received any information on how to pay it until about 4 mos later. Now I owe $370 and just got denied for a house because of it :) I've shopped here for 15 years. I won't again :) it's all cheaper on Amazon anyway

Great supply professional house. They need to open in the Detroit area. Most cosmetologist in Detroit but no professional supply houses available. They should look into the 8 mile Woodward area. This is a long commute for Detroiters. Professional selections are awesome.

Jackie and Rene know their craft! I was so sad after visiting the Sally on Southfield Rd. the other day and happened to be by the John R and 14 Mile location (hoping I would have a better experience). JACKPOT!!! I will never go to another Sally Beauty Supply as long as Rene and Jackie are still at the 14 and John R location. They were helpful and patient...I never felt rushed or made to feel stupid for asking questions. They listened to my hair goals and really knew what they were talking about. Do these ladies know their products! It's not like they walked around "thinking" they know their stuff (for me to later realize they were just talking out of their you-know-whats...some Sally associates tend to be this way). No, Jackie and Rene REALLY know what they are talking about with combined decades worth of experience! If you want EXCELLENT customer service and KNOWLEDGABLE input, go to this Sally and speak with either of them. Hopefully, you will pop in when at least one of them are there. I had the blessing of stopping by while both were in the store.
