I love Montes. Mirela is the sweetest, most kindest person. She’s so understanding when I have to cancel because I get chronic migraines. And she always works with me to help fit me in last minute because of my health. My daughter loves her also, and will only let her cut her hair. We have been going for years and find everyone that works at Monte’s to be professional, talented, and wonderful human beings. I highly recommend them.

I called Montes and inquired about a perm April 23. I told the person who answered the phone I wanted to get a perm, that I had fine hair but that my hair had been highlighted. I told her I have had a perm in the past and it went great! She expressed a little hesitation about my hair being highlighted and I told her if she couldn't perm my hair due to the highlights, I would trust her expertise. Initially she said she wanted to schedule a consultation first and I agreed. Then she scheduled my appointment for a different day and said a consultation was not needed. The day of my appointment, I was contacted in the morning and asked if I could come in 1.5 hours early. I said sure. When I arrived I was seated and quickly whisked off to have my hair shampooed, then put in perm rods. I have waist length hair and my hair was rolled very quickly (like 20 minutes). She then put the solution on and let it sit for 10 min. A man and woman who worked there walked over and commented how healthy my hair looked and how it was going to take well. I was warned to not wash my hair for 48 hours. My hair was then rinsed and I was sat down where my hair was brushed out with a small bristled brush. My hair was loaded with curl product and as I noticed how straight my hair was and began to question - I was told it was curly and this was how a perm looks. I asked "is this it? Is there anything you can do?" She then cut a little bit... then began to blow dry and scrunch my hair with more product. I was mortified. the photos below show the way my hair looked when I walked out of the salon and right after I washed it after 48 hours. It has been almost two weeks and my hair is completely straight and damaged. Because of my dissapointment, I was told that I would only be charged $60 for the service and $40 for the cut. I paid $100 to walk out of the salon looking like the picture - I covered my face with a sticker because I was bawling. I understand that perms can be tricky but after consulting with other stylists, I have been informed that my perm should have took but it was done incorrectly (should have been smaller rods piggyback), they should have ensured the perm solution saturated properly and that my hair should not have been brushed or had any heat on it. What upset me more than anything was the way that they tried to gaslight me and tell me that "this is what a perm looks like". They did absolutely nothing to fix my hair or address any of my concerns.

Bella is amazing. Beyond her great technical skills, she listens and I can honestly say that Bella did my hair the way I had in mind! She is honest about what will work and explains well. It doesn't sound Ike a big deal, and as an artist, she might have wanted to do something different, but she HEARD me, I am sooo happy everytime I let her do my hair!

It was my first time at this salon and I’m in love with my fresh new look. Anna was my stylist and she did an outstanding job! I had old highlights and color in my hair and was ready to just get back to my natural hair color. I’m beyond happy with how it turned out, it is so shiny, soft, and not an old highlight to be seen. Anna frequently checked on my hair while it was setting, asked if I need any coffee or water, and made good conversation. 10/10 would recommend even if it’s just a trim! There were also very young kids getting their hair cut and all the staff was so patient and kind with them. Very happy with everything!

There is no better feeling for me, when I leave the salon after Mirela is finished with my eyebrows. I have been going to her for years! She’s thorough, neat, and such a sweetheart! She takes pride in her work! The salon itself is always clean and the staff is super friendly!

I had my first appointment with Anna Dedndrejaj and she blew my expectations out of the water. My vision for my hair was brought to life and I couldn't be more happy. The salon is clean, calm, and welcoming! I will 100% be going back.EDIT 1+ MONTH LATER: I'd say a third of my hair has fallen out because the bleach was left on for too long and I wasn't educated about whether or not I should be treating my bleached hair. I was also sold the wrong product and didn't realize it until getting home.Services: Hairstyling

Montes Salon & Spa is one of my favorite hair salons. I have been going there for the last 10 months and I am extremely satisfied with my hair color and cut. I started with Bela who changed my hair color down a couple of numbers and my hair hasn't looked any better. I alternate between Mirela, the owner of the place, and Bela. They are both fantastic, professional, up-to-date with all the latest of the hair industry (if it can be called like that) and take pride in their work. The entire staff is very friendly and professional - Viola is great also as she assists with the hair color. They will go way and beyond to accommodate and satisfy their customers. The place itself is very modern, clean and has a relaxing vibe.

Anna Dedndrejaj is AMAZING and thoughtful, She took her time to figure out exactly what I was looking for and put so much hard work and effort to give me the perfect haircut/blowout and she sure enough did. I have never been happier with my hair after getting it done. I went in the other day for an appointment I had with Anna- it was my first time having my hair done by her, but she did an amazing job. I showed her a reference photo (it was a poor quality photo) and gave her the idea as to what I wanted, but she offered her own suggestions- which were much healthier for my hair and didn't require as much maintenance compared to what I originally wanted. I wanted to do a darker color and she suggested highlights and toner, so I was honestly nervous with the new direction... however, she really nailed what I wanted and It turned out better than what I even had in mind. You could tell she really listened to what I wanted and just came up with a better way of doing it. She was very easy to talk to and was just overall a breath of fresh air. In short, I highly recommend Anna for your hair appointments and montes salon in general.
