JCPenney is a large retailer offering apparel and home furnishings. Customers note it provides nicer items at reasonable prices with good sales, featuring a variety of national and private brands. The store receives praise for excellent and knowledgeable customer service, with employees described as happy, friendly, and efficient, making for a fast and good in-and-out experience. Specific positive mentions include a very clean and organized fitting room. However, some shoppers express frustration with the Troy, MI store's Saturday opening time of 11 a.m., stating it caused them to shop elsewhere. Another common complaint is that the store can be way too hot and irritating to shop in, leading some to leave. Overall, many customers are pleasantly surprised and find it a great place to check before buying elsewhere.
This store still has nice cloths at great prices. And a variety of things under one roof. Still kept well and clean.

The store was a mess. I think Kroger gets more customers in an hour than jc penny gets all day. We shopped around but didn’t find anything worth getting. The American mall isn’t dead yet, it’s suffering in the ICU though. I burnt more calories and saved more money than shopping online.

I have recently starting shopping at JCP again and have been pleasantly surprised by changes since I was last there. My only issue is that the Troy, MI store is not open until 11 a.m. on Saturday. They lost my business twice because of that since I needed to find something earlier in the morning.
