First time I have visited Gramma's Gardens and was pleasantly surprised at all the beautiful and well cared for flowers and plants. Larry, the owner, was very helpful and informative. Purchased 2 very pretty bouquets. Will definitely return.

Finally got a chance to stop by this lovely place and look around as we were hoping to find some arborvitaes. Luckily for us, we spotted an amazing collection and a kind knowledgeable owner. Hope to stop by again!

I was surprised by how many negative reviews were listed. My daughter and I stopped by Sunday afternoon for the 1st time. She loved the kitty that visited with us while we walked around. The owner was pleasant and more then willing to chat with us as he checked us out. We found some beautiful mumms! There is a smaller selection here as this is a smaller business, but we will definitely come back.

Plants looked very healthy and prices were competitive. However, I messaged ahead of time asking for the availability of a specific plant that was pictured in their Facebook ad. They said yes it was. I drove the 50 minutes from Milford to Troy based in this information. They did not have what I asked about, he tried to sell me something else, claiming it was indeed what I was looking for. When I pulled up the info on the internet about the plant he was offering he claimed that was wrong and he was right. I understandably was indecisive about making the purchase. I told him that it wasn’t what was pictured and confirmed to be in stock and was deciding what to do. He got on his e-bike and said, buy it or don’t, I’ve got better things to do and rode away from me. I wish I had read reviews before making the trip. Very rude and horrible customer service. In response to your response.I toggled thru my phone to show you what YOU advertised. It wasn’t about color. You advertised a 3 gallon plant for $20 and offered me a 1 gallon plant for $15It was not even close to 100° today.I stated exactly once that I drove a long way. It was a waste of time because you weren’t honest about what you had available when I messaged you.

The owner posts listings in fb marketplace. Apparently, if you ask him whether he knows if the grower has tested the hosta for HVX, he will immediately just tell you to shop elsewhere and block you. I don't think I was being rude whatsoever, and it wouldn't have necessarily been a deal breaker if they were not tested either, but I would just like to have known the risk in order to make an informed decision before risking my entire collection. I have no idea what he was upset about, his response seemed very unwarranted. It's a standard question for plant nurseries, and the fact that he runs a nursery but claims he has never heard of HVX is honestly very strange, since it's such a big problem and will perminantly affect your yard and possibly infect all of your other hosta. The testing can be costly so many choose to opt out and sacrifice quality for revenue. There's no treatment, and they don't show signs for years sometimes, and you can never plant another one in that spot again. so the only way to know is through testing, usually batch testing would be done by the grower. I wouldn't expect a home depot employee to be educated on it, but someone running a nursery should most definitely be knowledgeable on this very essential information. To be honest, I could forgive the ignorance. The attitude was the problem. Blocking people who ask honest questions in good faith is just bad business. ?So, if you have a large hosta collection that you want to protect, or just want to be treated like a person; I would probably steer clear of this place.

Don't go here if you value basic respect. Just look at the comments and owner responses. Zero accountability and an excuse for everything. Big yikes.
