Had these folks come out and do some siding work. They were backed up because they have a lot of customers which made me feel good that I made the right choice. Everything went great.

I am reporting a great experience on a remodel with Father & Sons Construction. I have a second floor porch that was open and never used due to the wind, rain and birds that regularly visited. I wanted it enclosed so I could use it as an office or something similar, even though I could not easily get ductwork.
Early in 2023, I talked to many companies. Five came out but incredibly, only 2 offered proposals, despite many follow up calls (1 declined, 2 never responded). The contract was signed in March 2023. There was a delay for an appeal with the city because they wanted it bricked but the first floor was not bricked. Construction started in March 2024 and I just received the final inspection approval.
Father & Sons Construction was very meticulous and spent a lot of time making sure everything was satisfactory. There were change orders that I approved, but no "surprise fees". The payment plan made sense (a small amount down, payment as the work progressed and the final payment when completely done).
I would definitely use them again.
The charges were reasonable. Some of my friends thought I could get it cheaper, but I think you often get what you paid for, and when problems arose, I didn't want to worry that the builder would then ask for extra money. As is often the case, they encountered unforeseen difficulties but worked around them without asking for extra money.

When driving a vehicle that has your company’s logo plastered all over it… perhaps it’d be smart to STAY OFF YOUR PHONE WHILE DRIVING IN THE FAST LANE ON THE EXPRESSWAY HOLDING UP TRAFFIC AS IF YOU OWN THE OWN THE ROAD. Holding his phone in his hand, looking down at it… I honked and flipped him off and he could have cared less. I’m not surprised to see these ratings at all. He was on his phone from at least mound to Groesbeck which is where I got off. Holding up traffic the whole way

Father and Son has TOTALLY ABANDONED this job and parts of the remodel didn’t pass City Inspection. I entered into a contract with Father and son December 2020 for a simple 9’ x 17’ kitchen addition… May of 2021, they spent 1 week digging & pouring the foundation and 2 months later they spent 9-14 days Framing. August 2023, still waiting for them to complete the job. I waited almost a year for 1 door & 4 casement windows to come in, When they finally came back APRIL 2022, only 1 window had a crank handle and none of the windows had screens… the 1 window with a crank doesn’t work and the window looks bowed… I ordered a brown left handed door and received a white right handed door. The siding that they put up to cover the facial board is very dimpled… the white door has loose rubber coming from the bottom and they positioned the door so that I can’t get a screen door added which means I can’t open the door or the windows for fresh air… I’m in the process of suing them. They drywalled over an outlet, the gutter that they put on the addition vibrates so loud when the wind blows… the gas line to my stove is set out too far and stands to high so my range can’t be pushed back to the wall.. PLEASE run from this company, there is a reason why this company habitually gets low ratings… this is NOT the same Father and Son Construction Co. that my parents used years ago.. Spend your money elsewhere! They are not a company, they are a money grab!!!!

Scheduled a quote for an addition on our home earlier in the week - she said we could do 9am-2. Why not 9am she said so we can have the rest of our weekend? Lol - absolutely! Well it’s 3pm and they never showed up! Jokes on you guys now I definitely don’t want you to come by. On to the next contractor. Thanks for nothing! No call, nothing!

F&S came out to my house in March to give me a quote on T1-11 siding.Showed up on time and walked around my house and surprisingly told me it would cost 29,500$$ to replace approximately 900 square feet of siding.I knew he was full of $hit when he said the permit fee was $1000.00.I had called my township and was told the permit fee was $165.00.No Bueno

The Rep called the day before to confirm our appointment. However, he wanted to change the time but we could not accommodate the time change request. He began sharing he doesn't work Saturday's not sure why they gave our job to him...He asked the square footage of our home, then quoted us an astronomical price sight unseen. We asked, how can you quote a firm price when you've never seen what the job entails? He said that's the price you're looking at or more!Very bad business....

I had been shopping around for a couple of years with various gutter companies to get my gutters & downspouts replaced. I kept running into dead ends because I also needed some work done to the wood that the gutters were attached to, as well as some trim work. Every place I called came out and gave me immediate estimates, but when I brought up the other repairs that needed to take place first, they told me that they ONLY do gutters.......nothing else. At that point, I realized that what I needed was a contractor & I called Father & Son. Matt, my construction superintendent was outstanding. Not only was he a great guy that I immediately liked, but he was very honest about the whole process & made some great suggestions about my overhangs & trim. The best part was that they completed both phases of the job within a month. First, the trim guys came out & did fantastic work, and then within a week, the gutter crew finished the job. They all did great work, and I can finally breathe easier when it starts to rain hard. I can even look out my sliding glass door again when it's raining hard & see my back yard instead of water pouring off my roof. They did such a good job that I plan on using them next for a bathroom remodel in 2023! I can't say enough good things about my experience with Father & Son Construction! I really appreciate your professionalism!
