It is a shame that I had to give this even one star. I personally would not have choosen CVS pharmacy, I was forced into the program because of billing errors and issues via BCBS FEP. They are also incompetent. However, since being switched to CVS my prescription has been delayed 6 times. 6 times in a month and a half. I get treatments ever week and constantly have to cancel my appointments. This is the first prescription that I have taken that has shown any promise for me and I'm about to give up. The constant stupidity and lack of concern has further exacerbated my anxiety and depression. I DO NOT WANT TO GO BACKWARDS with my mental health, but thanks to CVS and BCBS FEP I am.

The staff is totally incompetent. I have had nothing but problems with my son's refill medications. The bad reviews are defiantly warranted.

Awful. Every month it’s something. This month we are on our third rescheduled delivery. This medication is for my two year old. My son will die without this medication. They are so inconsistent with their deliveries and follow thru. I don’t think we have even experienced one month of ease. I’m so stressed every month. I literally sob before my refill call. Because everything will go well, then a day later or the day of said delivery they will call me with some issue that cannot be resolved in time for his delivery. Whenever I see their phone numbers come up on my phone my heart sinks. I shouldn’t have to fight every month for my son to be able to receive his medication. Every time I call them I let them know…I’m a scary momma…it should say that in your notes! Do.your.job. Or I will lose my shenanigans and your entire week will be ruined by me. You will never forget my voice. I will always advocate for my children. But it shouldn’t be this hard. CVS Specialty…DO BETTER!

Just found out my outstanding bill that they claimed was an insurance issue, was sent to collections and now my HSA a card can’t be used. It a nightmare month after month. It’s always something. Always a delay. Pretty sure I’m just going to stop taking my Enbrel Injections because it’s not worth the fight every month. Go elsewhere if it’s an option!!

It was reassuring when I finally looked up reviews for CVS Specialty and found them to match my experience. I have unfortunately been required to work through them for the past 12 years and the one trait which they absolutely nailed is consistency. They are by far (not even a comparison) the poster child for corruption, finger pointing, and negligence. Just like the others have mentioned, they try to find every excuse in the book to not ship the prescribed medications. They blame doctors, insurance companies, and alternate third parties for issues. This would appear to be statistically impossible as I have utilized 4 different insurance companies, 5 different doctors, 2 seperate prescription plan managers yet only 1 pharmacy which is the only option if insurance is going to pay for it. They lie about previous conversation, blame others for mistakes, delay necessary and life changing medications, and have even shipped the wrong prescriptions (I highly doubt this would be FDA approved). My advice if you must work with them is to record every conversation and keep your notes up to date. If you do not have to work with them then I envy your position.

Horrific service. CVS does everything in their corporate power to refuse filling your prescription and then harasses you for payment when they don’t do their job to submit claims to your insurance company.

Just the worst. So upset I'm being forced use, ( or insurance won't cover meds).

I started to write a review, but read some of the others and realized it would be fruitless. Placed an order, waited for delivery which never came, tried a "chat" that went nowhere, and now have to wait another day for the honor of speaking to a real person.Trapped because I have to use CVS. And you're forced to give them 1 star in order to post.

Please look at their reviews: They are successful not by being “good to patients “but making profit off not filling prescription. They make profits off “keeping doctors in check”, their own words , by not filling our prescriptions. This is insane . They have refused my brothers eye drop that brought him from near blindness to improved vision as soon as they started “managing the benefits” of his insurance . He had no issue getting the medication from another pharmacy. They state it is not medically necessary despite never meeting nor examining my brother nor reading his doctors notes . The 75 questions on a form was not completed by his doctor despite all necessary exam notes and labs and recommendations From his board-certified ophthalmologist yet they denied the medication. These pharmacy benefit managers will continue to destroy healthcare in America until we find a way to stop it. Please let me know if there’s any government agency to submit complaints

Absolutely the worst! They are extremely disorganized and confused—left hand doesn’t know what the right hand is doing. There is no confirmation or follow up after a phone call/inquiry. For the thousands of dollars they charge for a single specialty prescription it would seem as though they could be more professional. I can only hope that I never need to do business with them again!

I have never had so many problems with a pharmacy. they call you and then are confused on why the called you. Nobody knows what they are talking about. This happens every day. They never even asked if I had a copay card. Would not recommend CVS !!

Consistent with other reviews, their goal is to not give you the medication you were prescribed. The analysts are simply trying to hit their phone stats and whether or not you get the medication you were prescribed is dependent on your state of residence. In Michigan, they just move goal posts and and actively work against you; this has been my experience with Stelara, Tremfya and Cosentyx. In Texas, due to state law, they HAD to send me the Stelara prescribed to me. I am in all the salient patient assistance programs, it does not matter.
