Taking a job with BrightStar Care was the best professional move I've ever made in my career. The owners give me creative freedom, and allow me to have flexible hours if things pop up with my daughter. If you are a self motivated individual and want to do well, this is a great place to grow with a budding homecare business!

Thank you Bright Star for having the insight and integrity for hiring people like Asia! As a RN with years of geriatric and nurse educator experience, I give praise and gratitude to Asia for her competence, attitude, professional presentation, assessment skills AND compassion. There are no words to express the relief and comfort my family and myself feel knowing Asia is there looking after our father. We are relieved of the helpless feeling of living so far away; and our sister, who lives there, gets huge care relief from her daily visits. And thanks to the supervisor, Alex, for your quick responses to my calls. Communication is so important and gives me the feeling of competence at every level in this agency. I am especially appreciative as I know these are not easy times for delivering quality care but your agency has it down.

I learned about BrightStar Care Troy / Royal Oak when considering options for in-home assistance for my mother as she relocated to the region. Having known the owners, I trusted the type of business they run. Ultimately, I wanted to have a company that was both responsive, professional, and communicative.The result? I was blown away by the quick response of the office staff and felt in meeting Alex that attention to my mother's care would be at the forefront. The staff was pleasant and knowledgeable -- and most importantly, compassionate.I have felt that at any time, my questions are approached with an honest answer that left me feeling like she was in good hands. I would not hesitate to recommend BSC of Troy/Royal Oak to anyone looking for a quality in-home care option.

Brightstar really came through for my family as we needed a caregiver quickly in an emergency for my mother. Alex was very reassuring and found us a great caregiver in a very short time span. We were grateful and highly recommend Brightstar!

Well run and really incredible, caring staff. I'm blown away by conversations with staff and know care is at the forefront. They are pleasant and knowledgeable -- and most importantly, compassionate.
My questions are approached with an honest answer that leaves me feeling like my needs are met. I would not hesitate to recommend BSC of Troy/Royal Oak to anyone looking for a quality in-home care option.

I wouldn't suggest this place in a billion years, it's got the worst scheduling of nurses and would leave some of its own clients at least 5 days a full week with no care, plus taking scheduled people off some and place them else where. 0 out of 5. Only use if your REALLY HATE someone.

We've had BrightStar for over three months now for my sister. Their attendance is sporadic, and when they do come the staff is lazy and disappear for at times a half-hour to forty-five minutes on the grounds of the Senior Living Center. I've come to expect a call each morning that they are to be there, saying that the caregiver called in. They're always very apologetic, but that doesn't help with the care of my sister. Getting really fed up with them. Time to look for a new service!!!

Do not trust this company to care for your loved ones!Brightstar's mission is "to go above and beyond to deliver A Higher Standard of Care and nothing less."I chose Brightstar Care of Royal Oak/Troy, as my parents required 24/7 care. I previously hired them for a short time to perform basic care for my mother for several hours each week with satisfactory results. However, when both parents' health declined, I reached out to Alex to arrange for 24/7 care.Brightstar claims to have stringent screening and employment practices, unfortunately we learned first hand that is not the case. The very first evening Brightstar's aide cared for my parents, she stole money and a credit card from my mother's purse. Alex assured me that he would make things right, but soon after, he discontinued speaking to me, and he never paid back the money that was stolen!Naturally, I stopped using Brightstar immediately. However; this has had a continuing impact on my elderly parents who now distrust the medical professionals caring for them. I am sickened that my mother, who is now in hospice has this as one of her prevailing memories.Brightstar may have a bright and spiffy website, but the reality there is grim. Do not trust them!
