I hate to do this because I love Ulta and the Troy location is conveniently near work. But twice in a row (and a few times before) I've had to just set my items down in line and leave. This is because the cashier stands there dilly-dallying at the register with some obnoxious customer/group of customers counting out pennies or trying to make decisions or making phone calls. Instead of reassuring customers in (long) line, or having them step aside and wait as the customers ready to go get rang up, the cashier slowly walks back and forth behind the register doing whatever. Or stands there ignoring the long, growing line. Nobody even opens another register! Today I set my nice $50 shampoo down and just went to Rite Aid.

I went in for a hair cut after years of cutting it myself. I was nervous but Mira gave me an amazing hair cut. I was literally going to crying because I loved the hair cut so much LOL!

I brought my daughter here for a wash, condition, and define for her curls. The woman in the salon, Mira, has absolutely no clue how to treat curls or which products to use. When i tried to let her know what the stylist at Ulta in Florida, where we used to live, had been doing for my daughter's hair, she just told me that she uses the same products for all clients hair... She shouldn't be able to take appointments for curls if she is not knowledgeable about how to care for them. Thank God I didn't make an appointment for a cut because that would have been a disaster.

I really don’t like how you walk in and are constantly annoyed every second by 5 different associates asking if you need help finding anything. Leave us alone, this isn’t 2009. Go to Sephora instead and save yourself the headache.

The woman tried, but really wasnt as helpful as she could have been or should have been. She wound up leaving me and went to help someone else and left me with questions and floundering.

Great store which is always well stocked with a friendly staff. I’d like to give special recognition to Jessica in the salon. Not only is she a great stylist but has a big heart as well taking special care with my sister who had recently suffered from a stroke.

They do seem to have a bit more holiday cheer. However, the pickup service is not good.Ordered something online for pickup in store and when I got it home I found the box was torn open and one item missing. Yes--it's going back. They did not even open it to make sure all items were inside AND the box was torn! How hard was it to check to make sure everything was right?
