Banfield Troy did an amazing job with general comprehensive exams and dental cleanings. Their front desk staff and vet techs were always friendly and helped keep our scheduling on track. That said, we felt as though the veterinarians couldn't expand their scope of practice above general comprehensive exams. As our dog became a senior, we felt there was a large communication barrier and lack of knowledge beyond general exams. We continuously expressed our concerns and left time and time again with no prognosis or diagnosis. I'd attribute it to a lack of communication between staff to family, lack of knowledge, and in our eyes...negligence. I have been underwhelmed by the lack of answers and explanations and truly would never recommend this clinic. Do better. People are trusting you.

Amazing place! Very respectful! Make you time even if they busy. They care a lot about your pet. If the pet has some anxiety, they let you wait with the pet. They gave my dog a booster shot when he attacked a raccoon. Very good doctors. They call every time they finish spend their time taking care of your doggie. ??❤️❤️ always recommend.

I love this location. The doctors and staff are great especially Patty who is always willing to try to help me get my babies in, in a more urgent situation. Also love their wellness plans!

Insurance doesn't cover what you would think it does also such poor customer service during the pandemic and very difficult to cancel insurance unbelievably difficult to talk to somebody unless you're updating your payment plan very disappointed

Less than a #1,Atteria,receptionist extremely RUDE NON HELPFUL. We are from out of town, my dog became ill,went from dirriah to constipation. Livonia location did not want to schedule him. Spoke with office manager scheduled my dog, we were lost and unable to find location. I called and told them I was lost and would be 10 minutes away. Upon arrival Atteria was RUDE, the clinic refused us service. I am angry, my dog is sick and they turned him away. I will be canceling our wellness plan, which we've had for all 4 of our dogs for many years. Pet healthcare is low priority for these people. FOLKS don't waste your money and time with this sham company !!

I take my 3 adult cats to this location. They are always seen by Dr. Voltz. She and all of the staff always treat my cats with care and compassion. They never hesitate to answer any questions or concerns that I have.

My husband took my dog in for an exam because he’s been licking his paws non stop. He informed them to call “mom” as in me before giving the dog anything at all and she will be the one to decide on everything. The doctor called me and informed me that he would be needing a medication in the form of a shot that would cost $60. I said no problem and she recommended a tick/flee prevention pill just in case which I said I would buy one and that was $30. The doctor only informed me of these two treatments which I did authorize . As my husband picks up my dog, the receptionist gives him a $303 bill that shows my dog getting 3 different vaccinations as well as other tests that I did not authorize or was informed of until my husband was shown the invoice after they were done. He asked what this was and she said he needed the vaccinations even though we had not been told about them until they were done. I was on the phone hearing the receptionist speak to my husband in a very rude way telling him to basically pay because we had authorized everything. The receptionist is extremely rude and would not even attempt to go and ask the doctor about why any of this has happened. There is no communication between the staff and the doctor. I will talk to corporate as I have been a customer since my dog was 4 weeks old from California. Not only was this the worst experience and have shown that they are extremely money hungry, they could have given my dog something he was allergic to as they did not inform me of what was being given to him. If you are going to them, be prepared to pick up your dog after 5-6 hours and get scammed with a large bill. DO NOT GO TO THIS LOCATION AT ALL!!!

Love the new location. Staff is very friendly. Doctors are fantastic! Had to wait a bit when I came to pick up my dog but as the saying goes, “good things come to those who wait.”

Came in as a new client at this location. Pleasantly surprised by how quick the visit was. My old Banfield in Roseville only did drop off appts even if it was for vaccinations and it always turned into a half day event to take our dogs to the vet. At the Troy location, we were in and out in maybe 15 min total.

It feels like overall the quality of care is going down. There are some front desk people that are very nice but others that barely seem like they can be bothered to tolerate customers, much less if you need help or have questions. Every time my dog needs a prescription refill it's a disaster. They're going through vets like they're paper plates and every time they tell me "well this new vet hasn't seen your dog so we need you to come in" or "oh well that vet is at another location today so you can call that location instead". Inevitably, I end up spending days chasing people to try to get an answer or anything I need and I'm the one that has to do all the leg work to get anything done. Whenever I'm promised a call back, it never happens. There's one single person from the front desk staff that I trust actually cares about the pets and the pet parents and will actually call me back or try to help. If she's not there I know it's a lost cause. While I've gone to Banfield, across the country, for many years, I'm lately really doubting that the hassle is worth it

We use Banfield to get our dog’s prescription food (Royal Canin- Hydrolyzed Protein). They are always helpful and assist us in locating where the food is in stock. We appreciate it.
