Regarding the skate sharpening:Inconsistency.I've been going here throughout the years purely for the convenience of it being in the arena, however after tonight I can't do it anymore. More often than not, the sharpenings leave my skates in poorer shape than when I handed them in. Whether the edges were DULLER or the blade itself was actually sharpened at an angle, these occurrences were happening more often than a good sharpen. I stepped on the ice tonight and immediately noticed a lack of bite on the edges. This made rounding corners much more problematic and stopping nearly impossible. Thank goodness I wasn't playing in a game tonight. Now after reading a reply from the owner on a similar review, i want to say that it's probably not the machine itself, but an operator error. It's really just negligence or lack of proper training.I should also note even other players on my team have said the same thing.

Great and consistent skate sharpening. Very knowledgeable sales staff with great prices. And Michigan based. If you need new hockey equipment, avoid the national guys and save money at B&R.

I have found good equipment and sports wear here. Staff was helpful and did not try to upsell me on anything I came in for. I found prices decent in comparison to local competing stores.

This place is the best! The employees are always helpful with equipment, skates, hockey sticks, sharpening etc! They always take care of everyone in the store even on crazy tournament weekends! We appreciate that they make the effort to get to know their customers and provide quality service!

I have had my skates sharpened here twice…due to convenance of locationBoth times I step on the ice with no edge and practically fall down….I go back to my bag and sharpen them with a stone and stick…not sure if anyone else has had this same experience…if not I must be the exception…not the rule. #IJUSTWANTANEDGELIKETHEOLDGUYSUSEDTIDOIT

Don't get your skates sharpened here, you'll be missing edges, I even asked about it before I left saying it didn't feel right and they said it's fine. Got on the ice, zero outside edge on my right skate.
