Beware…they do not pro rate, so when you cancel service you have to wait til the end of the month and call back…then you can cancel. Been a loyal customer for over 30 years!

Absolutely one of the WORST companies. Called and talked to someone about getting new hook up for internet. Told the lady I had a very long driveway about 900ft. She reassured me SEVERAL times that it doesn't matter how long my driveway is, I would get internet. So the tech shows up and the first thing out of his mouth when getting out of his truck was "oh you arent getting cable here " and when I asked why, he said he can only drop cable for about 300ft. So he said he would turn it over to the construction department, and they would get me all hooked up. Even tho I told him the lady on the phone said doesn't matter the length. He said the ladies in the office were dumb and knew nothing. So, two weeks go by. I get a call from Darth vader... only because he was eating his mic and breathing into is so heavly. He says the construction team has been out there and is ready to move forward on getting me cable... I just need to fork over $2679... funny cherry land didn't charge me anything to run power down my driveway. DTE didn't charge me anything to hook up... but charter.. thank God verizon offers an internet box for $50 a month with the same speed as charter! Lost my business charter. ✌️

Condescending 30-35 yrs old female. Very sad day as a human. None of the comments by this staff member were necessary. I'll spare you the details. Started setting up parental controls on my tablet for my daughter without me asking her. Just weird interaction. Booo.

I ordered cable/internet equip by phone for a new setup at a vacation rental. They would not deliver to my home (even tho I also have spectrum there & nobody lives at the rental yet. Sent my assistant to pick up the equip after several emails saying it was all set for pickup. She was forced to wait 90 minutes to pickup a bag of stuff. This is unacceptable. Spectrum should either staff better or have a pick up equip line. Poorly managed system.

I needed to change some account information and swap out some equipment. I read online that you can swap out older equipment at their physical locations. My Internet has been acting up at home for awhile. It might be a spyware/adware issue, but I figured changing out the equipment might be a place to start. I visited their location in town 2x in two days. The check in kiosk at the door is easy to use and fairly obvious (not to everyone though, I didn't realize it on my first visit and on my second visit I cut in front of someone via checking in, someone who had been there before but hadn't checked-in via the kiosk. Am I the a**hole?, yes, yes I am. Staff were helpful and efficient. Getting everything plugged in and connected once I got home. I just reversed what I had unplugged when I swapped out the old stuff. I still had to call for help, but I didn't have to spend $65 to have a technician come to the house, so that's a win. Pardon my essay.

Never purchase a mobile phone from Spectrum. There is corruption in their return warehouse in Texas. If you send a perfect condition phone within the 14 day return policy they say they received it damaged, provide fake pictures and refuse to return your phone. They then charge your credit card for your phone. Spectrum either resells the phone or the warehouse workers are selling them on the street. There should be a criminal investigation into this warehouse and spectrum. If they are not reselling your phone why wouldn't they return them to the customer. I learned of this from reading customer accounts on Reddit. My phone was in the mail at the time via Fed Ex. I went to Fed Ex and asked about cancelling the shipment because I was worried I was going to get scammed but they were going to charge me $50 for cancelling and returning the shipment to me. I did not like the phone so went ahead with the return. I was charged $526 to my credit card and was scammed. The greed is astounding.

I'm rating the store location itself--great service. Make an appointment aka reservation online before you go. You can do this right from the Google Maps listing. It's easy and you jump the queue. You're able to arrive & check-in up to 30 min early. This is what I did and was helped within 5 minutes of walking in the store. About 5 minutes later I was walking out with the new cable modem equipment I came for. Couldn't have been easier.

I called in today and spoke with a very helpful young man. His name is Lance Thornton, based out of Grand Rapids MI. He was extremely helpful. So much so, that he not only saved me money on my bill. Nelson helped me into better options for service. He took a customer of nearly 40 years who was ready to cancel service, to a very satisfied and still current customer.All employees can learn by taking a page from his book…. Excellent customer service and a helping heart can go a long way.Great job Lance… Keep up the good work.

It's all how you approach people. Most of you one star people should join a one star group. Just miserable people never satisfied. I walked in the store and had the best experience. In a few minutes calling about something I cant figure out I'll repost the outcome. My guess it will go well using the respectful and be nice.

Called to get only internet services. Told them I wanted JUST internet as I don't need TV. We have roku tvs and pay for subscriptions through them. He said okay and gave me the price of my internet and informed me of the activation fee. Cool got it. Get my equipment (two days late due to storms), set up my account and notice i have a way higher bill and that im signed up for tv service. Call and cancel and they tell me it wont go into effect until my next billing cycle???? I didnt sign up for TV. I will be heading into the store Monday to dispute this. Absolutely unacceptable.

Now they're RAISING PRICES AGAIN. Corporate communism at its finest! Not even deserving of one star! Quite frankly, YOU SUCK SPECTRUM. Just another big corporation that could care less about the local average Joe. This is one of the worst bait and switch companies represented today with poor service and bad billing practices. ATT and Verizon round out the top 3 worst. SHAME ON ALL OF YOU!

Just a normal service for your normal products. They will bait and switch you if you are not willing to go across street to buy your device and come back and have them activate it. But for some reason if you do...they have problems transferring your contacts and information.
