I have always enjoyed good service at Serra Service Department.
Evan took care of my car and was aware that I had another appointment. He went out of his way to make sure I was not delayed and my car was ready. He is a great representative of Serra.

I needed to buy a car fast and had never bought a certified car before. The Forester I was interested in had great mileage and fit my budget. Richard Stark returned my call and was kind and knowledgeable throughout the sale. Unfortunately, the afternoon that I picked the vehicle up, the check engine light went off and I got to see the service side of the house do their thing. They were quick and got me scheduled for the next morning with the necessary parts. Thank you Tim Sato and your team. Richard again got me home and had the vehicle delivered the next day. He even returned my keys after I dropped in his car on the ride home. The whole experience was great from the sale, the financing, the explanation of the car to the service dept. Outstanding guys. I received my financing information within a day or two and feel really good about the whole transaction. I love the zippiness of my new used rig, but am slightly overwhelmed with all the electronic features of the car, luckily YouTube has me covered. Thank you Serra for a great experience.

After my 2009 Forester collided with a deer while summering in Frankfort, I had to get a new car pretty quickly. I was a little nervous as Traverse City isn't my hometown. After reading the reviews on the Serra website, I took a chance on Sean Leach, based on his profile. I couldn't have made a better choice. When I arrived, Sean was waiting, and spent a lot of time with me! He listened very carefully to what I was looking for in a car, and patiently explained (many times) all of the latest technology and options that I could choose from. Based on this, he took me for a test drive in the 2025 Forester Sport which I didn't even know about! What a great car! Of course, I wanted to look at some other Forester models too, and Sean helped me go over all of the pros and cons for each one as we walked around the dealership. In the end, the Sport was definitely the right car for me.
However, I wanted a color that wasn't on the Serra lot! Sean was able to find the car I wanted, and had it ready for me the following week. Meanwhile, during the week, I texted Sean more questions which he always kindly answered right away.
When the day arrived, my new Sport Forester was waiting with a large, happy, white bow and personal card on the front. It was funny and also very nice. ( In fact all of Serra is so friendly) Sean expedited my paperwork with the financial department, took me to meet the service rep to contact when my car needs servicing, and then spent over an hour explaining (once again) all of the technology in my new car, helping me to get all set up. But this wasn't the end! Sean has continued to reach out to me to help me with the further questions that I've had via phone, email, or drop in. This has been a wonderful experience and much better than any interactions with my Subaru dealership in my hometown! I'll be back! Sean is sincere, very knowledgeable, and really great to work with. I highly recommend him and Serra.

Perfect experience. Evan G. was professional all the way -- prompt, courteous, thorough. He came highly recommended by my friend and did not disappoint. I appreciate the integrity of Subaru Motors for extending the warranty that covered the cost of the TCV malfunction on my 2021 Forester. All of that motivated me to get the additional work done on my car (that Evan suggested) -- to show my appreciation to Subaru, to Evan, and to Serra Automotive. Well done!
