Went in multiple times for a quote months apart. And Steve cannot even figure out how to fill in the estimate. I drive to Dallas, get a quote from a Toyota dealer in 3 minutes, and drive back.... Steve still hasn't managed to write up the estimate.

I called for a estimate and no one answered. I left a voicemail and filled out online request. NEVER heard back from anyone. My daughter needed an estimate at the same time I did. She spoke to someone they said they would call her back and never did.

My 2022 Outback had a dead battery when I returned from a vacation. I took it into Serra for a battery check, making an 8:15 appointment. I was informed my the service rep that the battery will be drained if the car is not driven for several days due to all the computerized self checks the vehicle performs when parked. This sounded ridiculous to me and was the first time I had heard of this issue with any new car I've owned. I had a 2020 Ascent before the Outback and never had an issue. He recommended I pay for $32 for a battery tender so I could plug my car in when it was not in use so the battery would not be dead when I used the car next. really? So, at 4pm I was contacted that service was so backed up that they hadn't looked at my car yet and that I could leave my car with them until Monday or come pick it up. I live 1/2 hour from the dealership, so I left it. I was called on Saturday to be sure I agreed to have the $32 battery tender added to my car, they were only going to charge for the item and not the labor.. as that was their fix for this issue. Really? I told them I expected they would cover the cost of this fix. I was told no and I could contact Corporate customer service, as the dealer would not cover the cost. I called Corporate and they sent me a $50 voucher to pay for the tender and the service rep claimed he had never heard of this problem before. Really? The dealership was very clear this is an issue and corporate customer service reps don't know about the issue. Really? If there is an issue that could leave a customer stranded needing roadside assistance for a know issue that has not been dealt with, that should be a code red for engineering and supplier quality. Really! Either put battery tenders on these vehicles and tell the owners to plug them in or make a software upgrade to stop the computerized tests of a sitting vehicle. It would have been appreciated if Serra had made me aware of the issue when I bought the car or when they were made aware and started recommending battery tenders.. Last Subaru for me.

If you have a business to run I would definitely not recommend taking your car to Serra. Add another 2 weeks to your expected completion date.Service: Body & Trim
