Went in tonight(2/9/24) around 7pm with my cousin to grab a few things. Can't remember their names, two girls and a guy working and they were amazing. Super helpful and kind. Very informative on the samples and full size products we bought. Great experience!

I used to shop at Sephora in Grand Rapids and after moving up here I will definitely be making the trip back down there. The customer service here is downright AWFUL. The older woman with glasses is so disrespectful and no one is helpful at all. They’d rather walk around with scowls on their faces and act annoyed if you have a simple question. They don’t seem very educated in makeup as well seeing as I had a simple question about a product I’ve bought there for years and she looked like she had no idea what I was talking about. Very uncomfortable shopping experience here. Would not recommend.

I used to shop inside J C Penney. The store fits nicely at Kohl's!

I usually go to Sephora in Somerset Mall, that store is free standing and has a wide variety of brands but since moving to Traverse City this Sephora in kohl’s is the only option. I was surprised at the lack of customer service compared to a regular Sephora. If you’re a Sephora fan you know that Sephora policy allows customers up to three samples.I was shopping to pick out a cologne for my husband and when I asked for samples, the manager (I think? There was a younger woman present and the older woman seemed to be managing her) was very rude and she acted like I was trying to take advantage of samples (I was trying to have him decide between 3 picks). I was taken aback at her reaction to a normal question at any other Sephora. She told me that this store does not do any cologne samples. I have never come across a Sephora store that refuses this and most of my makeup and fragrance comes from Sephora.***Why would I spend more than a couple hundred dollars on cologne or purchase from brick and mortar if you aren’t allowed to sample and see how they work with your body chemistry before making a purchase? If you buy directly from the brand online, it's the same or lower price often with a free gift. The attitude of her response and policy of this store - if it is actually their policy - was very off-putting.Finally, the selection of course is limited at this store inside kohl’s, compared to free standing stores. Brands like clarins is limited and givenchy is non-existent, so you will be finding the most popular brands on average here. I won’t be back here for the poor customer service and limited product, and I’ll save my purchases for when I make the trip back to an original free standing sephora. It’s inconvenient but if you want to get your money’s worth and purchase a variety of brands, this isn’t the place.

Love this Sephora. It's a much bigger selection than what was previously available at the other Sephora location. It's very clean and had a lot of the current trend and popular items. It's very prominent in the store and I would recommend stopping in!

Came into the store with a list and an app and miss Kate was very patient with us. Thank you Kate for helping us find what we were looking for.

I don't know who makes the rules for the dressing room closures. But coming to a clothing store without being able to try stuff on is quite tough. Maybe finding a way to sanitize or do whatever makes people feel comfortable to try on their clothes before purchasing them would be appreciated.

I really hope Kohl's survives the retail market because they are the only corporation that still has a good selection of clothing line at reasonable pricing.. Please stay in business Kohl's!!
