It's nice they provide emergency care but the doctors and staff are the rudest snobbiest bunch of jerks I've ever met and they don't care at all if your pet is dying All they care about is their money. ZERO COMPASSION. A doctor had to call me back which seemed a total imposition and talked down to me like I was stupid. Only kind person was ONE receptionist.

vets are condescending , rude and lack etiquette when speaking with customers.Found all the staff dealt with to be stand offish. Bummer!

I'm so thankful for the compassion and thoroughness of the staff here. I travel full time in an Airstream with my Border Collie and she became very sick with a parasite I'm assuming she picked up from some dirty water at a local dog park. Diarrhea and non stop vomiting. The Dr. recommended anti nausea, subcutaneous fluids and parasite antibiotics. Portia began feeling better very shortly. We then went to a vet the next morning for blood work etc... and she is now perfectly healthy. Very impressed with Bay Area!

Amazing and kind service. Great people who were helpful beyond what was required. If you are ever in the unfortunate situation of needing an emergency vet do not hesitate to come here.

Wow I drove an hour and 20 minutes to take my dog here. I told the vet what was wrong with her. It coast me over $500.00. They put fluids in her and gave her cerenia. And sent me on my way. Nothing they did helped her. So pretty much if you are going to go there take your pocketbook and leave your animal at home. This truly makes me sad to think it only about the money. They could careless about the pet at hand!!

8yrs or more. I have a bulldog and they did an awesome job with her. They are now just a hospital I guess which is kind of a bummer because I like them a lot. So I guess I'm going over to the sister vet Eastbay veterinary clinic. They are moving sometime soon to a bigger facility and parking spots. We've used this that before and they were very good.

I'm seriously disappointed, I am a single pet owner with a tight schedule during the summer and was told I can't get my dogs meds without a wellness check and the lady over the phone wouldn't help me so I could get in on my only day off during the week, and then said I can't get my dogs meds and also couldn't make an appointment for next month either. I usually don't have any problems other than they're over priced. I'm really sad and plan to switch vets now because it's unfair to my dog for me to have to skip his medications.

I greatly appreciate the staff who works here! When all of the local gets within 30mins of me said NO to an emergency, Bay Area Pet Hospital was able to get my cat in immediately. I am so thankful! After the surgery and I got my baby home he was quick to be back to his normal happy self! Highly recommend! Might be a little on the higher side for costs but my pets are my children and costs are nothing when pets are family.

We were visiting from down state and our dog got sick. We called our regular vet back home but our dogs symptoms seemed to get worse. We called Bay Area hospital and they were very knowledgeable and helpful. Our dog was seen initially as triage, assessed and then treated. The vet was very clear with findings and gave us alternatives with prices. Considering we sought emergency vet care on a Sunday morning, the prices were reasonable. They were still under COVID restrictions, so we weren't able to go back with our dog but front area was very clean and receptionist was friendly and attentive. I'd highly recommend this place.

Outstanding and caring staff. The vet asked for every detail of our dog's day prior to taking him in. When our dog passed, the first sympathy card we received was from their entire staff. We couldn't have asked for any better care. Thank you!!

We visited the hospital on a Saturday night at 11pm with a dog with an injured and swollen foot. We called ahead to let them know we were coming. We filled out forms ahead of time online on the drive there. Staff were very friendly and helpful and reassuring. We waited in the parking lot until it was time for our pet to actually be seen by the doctor - a new COVID-adapted process. Overall we were there about 2 to 2.5 hours. The doctor called to discuss the situation and options. We left with the meds and cone. I felt well cared for by competent staff. Our dog is on the mend. This about as quick and efficient as one can expect for a drop in emergency vet!

Yay! Yay! Yay! What a relief this place/these people were! For sure suck-city to have to take one's pet to an unknown Dr. (okay, vet; whatever), but the level of professionalism, care, and regard for us and our little beast in need of medical attention was both a comfort and impressive. In our hometown, it is understood the vet hospital is going to do little more than ensure one's pet is not at immediate risk of dying before charging an exorbitant amount, patting (human) clients on the bum, and sending them to their primary vet office. So, to learn the local vet office was unusually busy (can you say: Covid) and could only recommend a pet hospital was little more appealing than sawing off a limb. But: limb. Hubs needs all of them. Still operating with precautions for Covid required alternative procedures: online paperwork, phone calls, pet exchange without human:human contact (via the vestibule) and payment. All went off without a hitch. The online paperwork was mobile-phone user friendly and the phone calls were plentiful ("scheduler" to vet-tech to veterinarian to vet tech to "biller"), and everyone was professional, efficient, and genuinely kind and caring. The fees weren't horrid; yes, more than a typical vet office, but "hospital"... Whereas the crème de la crème had been the vet taking the time to explain (via phone) what was going on with our boy, what were our options, her recommendations, and inquiry for our questions/concerns, that we received a phone call the following week making inquiry of our beast's well being tied that up. Certainly we don't want to be in another situation requiring medical attention for our fur-friends, but should we find that to be the case, we'd return without the slightest hesitation. Thank you SO MUCH Bay Area Pet Hospital! ~ Buster W.

Bay Area is absolutely amazing! My 1 year old German Shepherd Mastiff Mix ended up breaking his nail and caused major bleeding all over. After trying to stop the bleeding myself and freaking out over my furbaby. My boyfriend and I decided to take him in since his vet is closed on Sunday, we went here. They cut his nail for us, put Qwik Spot on it to stop the bleeding and decided not to charge us the $175 for just seeing him over an emergency and only charged us just for the office call. We ended up only having to pay $21.50 which was amazing and a relief! Not only did they tell us how sweet and cute our boy is, but also said we can bring him back anytime for nail trims so this can be prevented from happening again. Amazing staff and great outcome! Thank you so much! HIGHLY recommend!

Best veterinary practice I have been to in the Traverse City area. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, but most of all they treat my pets with love and care. Highly recommended.
