Dave and team are great- professional and honest. I am trying to save an old Audi and they have helped me address a few things. Great communication and they always take the time to explain repairs and issues with my car. I have three other VWs that we will be bringing there for service. Highly recommend. I am glad that we found someone we could trust and who loves German cars.

My Range Rover had a complete engine swap to the tune of $26,000 that’s not the problem the alternator is only a year old on the bill it was almost 900 just for the alternator, granted I bought the car from the original owner, but they say they won’t warranty it because I bought from the owner, okay our mechanic who knows these cars is ordering my alternator and a belt and the pulley installed for less than the alternator they put in, I’m just saying that a new alternator should last more than a year at that price.

I received a quote for work to my Volkswagen from Dave. He was straightforward and honest about my options, including the fact that my vehicle needed more work done than it was worth (which was against his interest as a business-owner that fixes cars!). I would definitely return to Lakeside and highly recommend them!

In addition to being great mechanics, these guys are honest and fair. We have several older German cars that Lakeside Automotive has worked on over the years. If you've never experienced out-of-warranty service before, it is far different than 'dealer service.' So many weird little (and big) things crop up that rarely do within the first 3-years of a cars life. The typical dealership will replace every part they can -- at full list price. Lakeside actually provides sound advice as to what 'must' be replaced versus what can wait a bit longer. They also have far better rates than any other shop or dealership I've found. They've never given me bad advice and have always done great work. I rarely post reviews because most businesses are mediocre. Lakeside is truly among the best. If you really like your car, there is no better place in the area to get it serviced.

Dave saved me this weekend when my MINI engine went into half power and I was 300 miles away from my dealership back home. He squeezed me into his very busy schedule to diagnose and bypass the sensor so that I could continue my vacation. I have owned Audi's for 11 years and have taken my car to another shop in town for all that time. Recently, I bought an A4 and I have not loved it. The motor doesn't run great and I keep having to take it in. I took it to Lakeside in hopes that I might have better luck trying a new Mechanic. And I am super pleased! I left my car with them for a day and a half (not a week) and they diagnosed the motor issue and had it resolved for less than they quoted me. Thanks Dave! Great service, professional and polite.
