My cat came in with a simple ear infection and URI. I questioned why my cat would be needing a steroid injection and rabies shot while having an infection but Dr insisted the rabies was a policy and could not wait and she felt the steroid injection would help. Well within days, my cat became severely ill with pneumonia. I attempted to call and discuss but was greeted rudely on the phone and they refused to talk to me. I took her to another vet clinic where she was diagnosed with pneumonia and heart enlargement. Apparently steroids can cause heart enlargement in cats especially with the long acting strong steroid she chose. It has compromised her immune system ( for at least a month)and she has been unable to fight the infection in spite of oral antibiotics and now has gone into heart failure. I will be euthanizing her this afternoon. Now my special needs son has lost his companion. Beware of Dr Roeters. She refused to look at a video at the appointment where I captured her respiratory infection and informed her she had been running a fever. She had an attitude that she is the vet and what you have to say doesn’t matter. Those types of Doctors are dangerous and miss things because they are too self assured.

When our blind senior dog was having multiple seizures We begged our vet to see him from the day and they said they see him in a week another day passed as he got worse and with each one I held him thinking these were his last seconds. Like watching your dog die over and over again he finally had his last one all he could do after that was lay there limp, eyes wide and head moving slightly in a odd way . I called and begged pleaded called every vet in Manistee, Ludington, benzie, Cadillac everywhere close by no one would see him no one would give him peace for days for weeks they said, we couldn't let him suffer another night. We knew GTVH was going to be expensive more than double what we would have paid locally but I'd pay it again because they were able to see him as soon as we called, it was late at night and we made the trip up from Manistee, they were the nicest most amazing staff, and They gave him the peace he needed. Not long after we received a sympathy card in the mail. We hang out on our fridge to remember the staff we are so thankful to be there that night. ( days after that we got a card from our local vet, that went straight to the garage).

nothing but positive things to say. they treated my jasmine a few months back when she got cancer. still had. to come back and make a review since i’ve been recommending them to everyone. jasmine was a more aggressive cat towards strangers but dr. roeters still handled her amazingly!! when it was time to put her down everyone in the office, especially dr. roeters, was extremely kind. they even sent us a personalized letter afterwards ! best vet experience i’ve had and will continue to use them for my other three cats

We LOVE Grand Traverse Veterinary Hospital!First of all everyone that works there is SO NICE. They care SO MUCH about our pets and are really collaborative in the way they develop treatment plans that work for you and your pet. They have a generous referral program and they offer complimentary packets for new puppies. Those are just a couple of examples that showcase the thoughtfulness that they put into every step of the process. Their pricing is fair and their service goes above and beyond. They make it so easy for clients to communicate with them offering phone, text, and email channels. GT Veterinary Hopsital is a very inclusive environment and they practice trauma-informed care.

First visit and instantly loved the place. Casey and Dr. Marr took great care of my cat Rocket and made sure I was completely informed on pricing, treatment, and meds. Definitely thinking about using them as our permanent vet, despite the 50 minute drive each way. :)

This office is extremely rude. They will require to see your pet for pointless office calls. I had requested flea medication for my cat and dog. The dog has been seen by them recently and the cat I had recently adopted with all medical records. There was no reason to bring him into see a doctor. This office treated me as off I was stupid for expecting to get flea meds without a visit. Then when I told her that was the stupidest thing I’ve heard, and ask why I could buy them at the pet store. She continued to be extremely condescending. I hung up on her and called back and the clinic owner was even more rude as soon as he picked up the line. He jumped into me about using profanity. No explanation for why I couldn’t get flea medication just that he was the boss and I was not going to get what I needed. He was extremely unprofessional. Don’t waste your time or money.

Staff are all friendly and caring. Dr Jossens has always gone the extra mile in helping my pets. If she is not sure about a condition or treatment she utilizes input from her peers and specialists at MSU. She is compassionate and truly a top-notch Vet!

Visiting with Dr. Jossens and the rest of the staff was an excellent experience for our parrot and for us. Everyone we spoke to was welcoming, and Dr. Jossens provided calming, knowledgeable, and empathetic care to our bird. She even brought our boy a strawberry after their visit had concluded. The energy in this building is positive! We will definitely be coming back.

This veterinary office is great! It is definitely worth it to bring your pet here. My family first started taking our dog here when our previous vet dismissed a large under-paw infection. From the first appointment we knew that they cared about the well-being of our dog. The vets and techs here aren’t pushy and fully talk about what’s getting done and the cost, being fully transparent. They will even print out a cost-rundown before paying so you are informed. The cost of prescriptions and medications is relatively inexpensive, similar to what rural vets charge. GT Vet is also very flexible with appointment/test times and scenarios . Our dog needed to be seen due to an ear infection, but they didn’t have time for him in the schedule. We were able to drop him off and have him get seen when they had spare time. My dog gets especially anxious, so during our first few appointments they allowed us to wait in the car before going in. Overall a great group of vets and techs that actually care about both you and your dog!

The staff was lovely, from the front desk to the techs to the doctors. I previously had a bad experience with a vet I tried after I moved up to Traverse City, and I was definitely nervous going into our first appointment at GTVH, but they put my mind at ease immediately, listening to all my concerns and answering all my questions. So glad to have found somewhere I can trust with my fur babies, especially as my senior cat's care gets more complicated.

Dr. Marianne Jossens and Tech Marshall made our visit seamless and comforting. Their office catered to our out-of-state visit and accommodated a meet-and-greet AND dental cleaning all in the span of two business days. They reassured us that our elderly pup was healthy and would be in great hands under their care. Dr. Jossens ensured she thoroughly explained the results of the blood test with us, and even showed us visuals on paper. Other vet offices simply advise "Your dog is healthy!" but this office explained why he is healthy. They also provided to us all estimates BEFORE any procedures. There were absolutely no surprise fees—we knew exactly what we were walking into. I would recommend this office to anyone, and I wish we could find vets like this back at home.
