The Black Pepper jerky is THE best I’ve had in a really long time. I’ve tried a few flavors of theirs but the pepper IMO is best! So glad made in Northern Michigan too.

Whenever I make my way back to TC I always stop by Deerings for the jerky. It's maybe a tad spendy but there's no other jerky like it! Love the traditional beef and the turkey.

A meat lovers paradise. Quite a selection of all kinds of meats. And the beef jerky is delicious. Great selection of flavors. This local, general store/market is loaded with food items. I've been a customer for years.

Clerk works there called annie, more like Annabel !! I’m almost 70 now & have been customer there for over 14 years & never have I encountered a more rude, obnoxious person that makes her distain for older people more obvious . Told me last night she doesn’t like old people period !! Nice help Jerry !!! In my opinion she’s typical of last 2 generations produced in this country, no respect for anyone or anything. Majority aren’t worth a fiddlers - uck & again she’s prime example. This old man won’t be spending another dime there as long as she’s an employee !!!!!

Lucky to live nearby Deerings at Union and 12th St.! Quintessential corner store: Great for visitors/those hosting visitors who need last minute staples; beer, ice cream, wine, liquor. Milk, steaks, excellent jerkey. Shy on fresh veggies but has local bakery cookies, bread/buns/snacks/potatoes; items that fill out a holiday experience! Supports community.

Had a horrible experience with the night guy. My dog locked my keys in my car and my window was down and my car was running and I needed a broom to press my lock. The old man refused to give me one forced me to call 911 and when they said they weren’t a broom delivery service he finally let me use a broom for 2 seconds so I could move my car. I will never in my life recommend this to anyone. These chain stores keep crushing these small stores because they don’t have employee standards for treatment of customers.

I love deerings jerky and eat a lot of it. However, last night I purchased a bag at the gas station and ate a few pieces, closed it up, and this morning I went to eat some and noticed mold on multiple pieces in the bag.
