I want to like this place as it’s the closest good wine shop to my new abode in TC. However, when they are having tastings or are helping people select several bottles or a case, it feels like I am intruding when I’m only purchasing one bottle usually. This evening a group of 5 or 6 middle-aged men were drinking wine and taking very loudly and strutting about the shop. I assumed it was a private tasting so I rushed my purchase without browsing

Pop up with roll model spring rolls and rose event went pretty well. Little awkward at first, that's just me. I arrived on time, guess you should be early if you want a seat or come with a partner. Attendees were pretty friendly once the seating was all sorted out. Hosts/employees were super accommodating after the awkward beginning, " you sure you have a ticket etc etc?'. Spring rolls were good. Rose, how can you go wrong. Nice, diverse selection- California, France, Portugal, and more. Decent size pours. Everyone did their job swimmingly, and the food and drink helped one and all to relax and socialize.

Excellent Boutique wine shop every time I'm in Traverse City I stop here and make purchase(s) Christy is awesome known her for years back in the Bowers Harbor days very confident very capable very knowledgeable and she is a true person loving wine. Always looking to educate without being overly puffed up.

This is the wine store Traverse City has been waiting for. There is a relaxed atmosphere that makes shopping for wine an enjoyable experience with Alaina, Kristy, and Michael. The two events I have attended have been so much fun that I was pleasantly surprised at how much I learned. I am enrolling my parents in the wine club here as a gift to them for their 50th anniversary this year, and I know they will enjoy the excitement and the festive vibe of the pickup events every quarter- a gift that keeps on giving! Cheers to my favorite wine store!

Lake District Wine is the only place I will go to to buy wine. Not only are the prices affordable, the owners are extremely knowledgeable on varietals, regions, and pairings. I can walk in the store and tell Alaina, Kristy or Michael I am looking for a certain wine to pair with my dinner and within minutes I’m walking out with a wine I know will be exactly what I was looking for. We recently joined the wine club and absolutely love the variety as well as the knowledge we gain about each and every selection through the description cards and quarterly club gatherings. Wine isn’t just a drink for us, it’s an experience - and thanks to Lake District we have a place we know we can go to that has a true community feel and delicious wine at an affordable price. I can’t recommend this place enough if you’re in the Traverse City area!

Alaina (sp?) was amazing. Had a great (surprise) sampling of South African wines, and were pointed in the direction of a few selections we were interested in (champagne and nebbiolo). Very happy with the kind customer service, knowledge, pricing, and variety. High quality on literally every point. We will certainly be back every time we visit TC!
