Horrible service.
At check in I was informed there were no cars available. My reservation was for a full size.
The only vehicle available was an old truck with 48k miles on it.
How am I supposed to road trip for days with my luggage out in the open in the back seat of a truck? Every time I leave the vehicle I'll be worried someone will break the window and steal my stuff.
So very disappointed.

The only place with a long wait and a line. Staff was courteous and professional, but something was causing them to move too slow.

Booked car 36hrs in advance, arrived at airport and there was no car available. We received no email notification, only one voicemail which we did not see. We were supposed to drive cross country and the mess up resulted in a lot of extra stress and money.

The staff at the counter were very nice. The vehicle was not what we expected. We reserved a Nissan Rogue and got a Mazda CX30 which was smaller. The Mazda had 28K miles on it and was not in great condition. This was a dissapointment.

Our flight was delayed past the normal closing hours of the Traverse City Alamo. We called Alamo customer servicer multiple times and they assured us that they would accommodate delayed flights and that they would stay until 2am. Upon arriving at 1:30am, about a dozen people from delayed flights arrived to find the counter shuttered for the night, leaving everyone stranded in the middle of the night.

At this point, I am pretty disgusted. I have talked to 9 people now about a horrible experience with an Alamo auto rental. Not one person that I have spoken to has ever had not one, but two blown tires on a rental. Clearly this is equipment failure. This could have been a life threatening situation and I cannot even get one phone call back. Here is the chain of events: We rented an auto at Albuquerque International Airport. During our time in NM, we had our 91 year old uncle with us and the first tire blew out. We were able to make it back to a tire store limping on the side of the road and had the tire replaced . . .no spare in the trunk. We were on our way back to Albuquerque, pretty much in the middle of nowhere and the second tire blew out. I called Customer Support (again) immediately and literally, an idiot, told me to go back to El Paso (3 hours south) . . and I asked him how I was supposed to do that? He stated 3 times that he would be back to me in 2-3 minutes . . each time I waited 10-15 minutes in some very hot weather on the side of the road. We had no idea where we were except that we recalled the last sign that showed Truth or Consequences (GPS was not available). FINALLY, we called our own tow truck after the employee on the phone said we should just get a motel/hotel and again . . .I asked him how I was supposed to do that? I gave up on the employee and we waited for the tow truck. That company towed us to a Walmart Tire store, thankfully, just before they closed and we bought a second tire. We were 2 hours south of Albuquerque but did make it back (we purchased 2 cans of Fix a Flat just in case). We got to the rental desk and the manager had the audacity to tell us that he cannot help us as "we did not get the extended warranty" . . .when has there ever been an extended warranty on a rental car? We had to leave so decided we would take it up with the Corporate offices which has proved fruitless and has just left me really mad because I have to keep telling the story all over again. We are out $325.93 AND had a potentially very dangerous situation as it was starting to get dark on I 25 south of Albuquerque. They rent out cars that have defective tires? Again, EQUIPMENT FAILURE. Thank God we could keep this car under control. This is just unbelievable.

Alamo team at Traverse City airport are excellent, always friendly and professional. Vehicles are nice, clean and maintained. Also, Alamo offers option to pre-pay half a gas tank - others require a full tank.
