They are nice people, but having the food pantry open just 2 days/week from only 9-11am makes it difficult for some to get the food they need. Also, one I went there literally pulled up at the time they were supposed to close but 2 minutes late. They already had locked up and only 1 person was there whom didn't have the key so I was unable to get my food. Then I tried to pick it up on Christmas and they refused to give it to me because they either didn't have enough food or were out. I can't remember which one. They said that they had been busy with handing out Christmas prents and Christmas food, plus had other people picking up their monthly food that day. I hadn't been able to get there since because I didn't reive my check, my van broke down and has been in the shop getting fixed for over a month. I have been having to share a car with my husband and am lucky to get the car 1 day per week and I have doctor appointments. Other than that it is a good place to go for food. The people are nice, it takes a while to receive the food sometimes but usually in good timing, the food tastes good, and my orders are usually correct.

Churches is only setup to help whites and other races not African Americans in so many words by a white volunteer worker at your Garden City Chapter. I was denied help before it was given to the board to review they had a volunteer worker to call me back to say she can tell me right now their not helping me?
