H&R Block is generally very good I have used them for the 5 years I've been in Michigan and for probably 25 years between Florida and North Carolina never had issues like I did this year

Dropped my documents off 2 weeks ago and went to pick them up and the lady working thr front just sat there and said okay and did nothing, leaving me waiting for 20 mins, doesnt even attempt to pretned to go look into a file cabinet, literally just sits there and then leaves for a coffee break. How hard is it to just look into your filing system. That is ridiculous. The phone tag, the lack of customer service, the slow responses! I was told to leave my taxes and that a professional would get to them. Well that professional was unfortunately ill and nothing happened for a week until I called and someone else finished my taxes. Everytime I called the office I either got voicemail or dealt with people who seemed like they were under the influence. It is annoying and slow here. I obviously understand someone being sick, but had I not called I am certain my documents would have been left unhandled for even longer. Even callijg was an inconvenience as they have an annoying corporate menu to deal with unlike other locations where you get an actual human being. I wont be back next year.

This location on Goddard is terrible, they are short staffed and overbooked to start. Then the lady up front, is so old and bumbly that having a phone conversation with her is arduous and scheduling an appointment was one of the most trying endeavors of my life. The tax "expert" was also very old and bumbly to the point that I was concerned for the quality of the job he was doing on my taxes. He made a glaring mistake and added 2 years worth of my income then argued with me when I told him there was a discrepancy, even going as far as asking me to add it up myself and handing me a note pad and pen. Do not go to this location, Bianca and Joe are very nice but oh dear god no thank you to having them handle any manner of professional endeavor for me, including my taxes. Just go to the one in south land.

Unable to reach office. Called twice. If they can't take a call or atleast pick up the phone and say can you please hold then I wouldn't trust them with my taxes. Pretty simple job really.
