This place is amazing! I have been coming a little under a year. I was afraid to start CrossFit because I hear horror stories of injuries but doing CrossFit has really increased my functional fitness. My hips and back are much happier for it. Kirk Said is the man, he's super knowledgeable and friendly. All of the coaches are patient and helpful. I'm not the fittest person but I always feel like I'm being encouraged and celebrated. Classes are fun and never boring. There is nothing but good people here. The work outs vary every day, and are scalable to your fitness level. I love being able to do things I couldn't 2 weeks before. My advice is if you are nervous about CrossFit just do it. And do it here at a CrossFit downriver.

I was brand new to crossfit (and weight lifting in general) when I joined this gym, and I couldn’t have found a more supportive and inclusive environment. the community here is amazing; I feel accountable to them which is one reason I keep showing up. The owners and coaches are truly concerned about helping each individual improve and perform at a level that makes sense for them. Love it here - highly recommend to all to no matter your current fitness level! If you show up, CFDR will help you get results!

CrossFit DownRiver is a great place to work out! Coaches are knowledgeable about scaling options so all workouts are attainable! Everyone is friendly and welcoming!

I came in for my first drop-in session today and LOVED my experience. I have had previous crossfit experience but haven't done it in about 4 months so I knew today might be ugly. Everyone was so supportive and nice and I felt like I fit in right away. They didn't make me feel like the center of attention for being the new person (I tend to be kind of quiet at first) and instead people came up to me gradually and introduced themselves, pointed out where things were, encouraged me, etc. It was a really good time and I'm glad I made the decision to face my fears of getting back into the gym and just go! I will be back for sure!!! Thanks, Crossfit Downriver!!!!
