Wet Room and Weak Breakfast
Had to stay one night while in town for funeral. Checked in late, and the man running the front desk was awesome. Got me into a room, was super nice, told me where to grab a bite to eat; he was great.
But, the good kind of ended there. My room had wet carpet. I'm not sure if there is a plumbing issue, or maybe something with the first-floor pool... but there are 2-3 feet of carpet near the bathroom that is soggy. This made the room smell funky too. I was checking in late and didn't feel like moving. I put a towel down on the floor, but eventually that became wet too (as towels do).
Hoping for a strong breakfast game just set me up for disappointment. Powdered eggs, sausage links, oatmeal, and hotel waffles. It was OK. They didn't have real butter, no cold breakfast (cereral, pastries, etc). Maybe the worst part was there was no coffee creamer, and no milk. C'mon hotel, you have one job.
The location is good, but if you have to walk you might as well get an Uber. Telegraph is a death trap to cross on foot, there's nothing immediately close, you may have to walk a ways to get food/drink/etc.

Really nice, clean hotel. Comfortable bed, clean bathroom, nice mini fridge. Very affordable. Very convenient location - only 20-25 minutes away from downtown Detroit. The employee at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. I highly recommend here if you're looking for a place to stay around Detroit.

There are not a lot of options for breakfast or drinks. No creamer for coffee either. Very limited.

Safe place to stay, felt comfortable and relaxed compared to other hotels I stayed at around the area. Checkin was a breeze! Only complaint was that the front desk just sits there and ignores the phone ringing. I would definitely use this place again, though!
Rooms: Good rooms with clean areas.
Safety: Felt safe and had a well lit parking lot.
