Customer service when I asked why the new carrier won’t take my larger packages to my door I was told if it’s more than 1/2 mile they didn’t have to. I told her our house was either just short of 1/2 mile or right at it. In the past no body refused to drive down my driveway. New carrier asked if I could put a package locker down by the road. I was told by the lady working the counter that he meant a plastic tote. I told her I couldn’t see the tote from my house and nobody on our road could see the mailboxes. She then said “I’m done talking”. I don’t see how her rude comment was good customer service, because I wasn’t rude to her I was just asking her a question.

All of the staff was super friendly and helpful. Not too crowded either which is definitely a plus!

As a Snowbird I go to Florida for a few months and return to Suttons Bay. Every year my temporary forwarding order stop or start date date gets overlooked and my mail gets delayed a couple weeks or more - one season it took a month and a couple long distance phone calls to start receiving mail... it gets trapped somehow in mail purgatory, forwarded back and forth, back and forth and when it arrives it has 3 or 4 yellow address change stickers on top of each other or it has been accumulating in my PO box for a month. For a tiny post office where everyone knows everyone, I wonder if all Snowbirds go through this hassle every year?

Best Post Office ever! Everyone is friendly and they get the job done with a smile. They even help you with things you should know but can't remember! Five stars for the Suttons Bay Post Office!
