Mom’s care was satisfying. Staff is friendly, helpful and follows a routine of care to keep her activities of daily living needs addressed in a timely manner. Rehab services were outstanding.

WORST FACILITY I HAVE EVER SEEN! WARNING BEWARE!We took our grandfather here and the nurses are so rude. Treated us with disrespect and made my grandfathers stay unbearable. Will never recommend anyone to come here.

My Father just completed a two-week stay, and I can't say enough good things about the staff and his care team at Pomeroy. Between the hospital and his stay at Pomeroy he was away from home (and missing home) for almost a month, but everyone made him feel welcome (and we were able to visit him twice daily, bring him dinner and play card and dice games with him every evening). The rooms were clean, the food was good and his nurses, aides and therapists were wonderful.

My mother in-law broke her hip just 5 weeks ago. She was in the hospital for 10 days and it was horrible there. They wanted her to go to rehab and to be honest I was terrified after her being in the hospital for ten days and had a very bad experience. After her being at Pomeroy for three weeks I can honestly say I was very impressed! The rehabilitation unit was very clean, nursing staff was amazing, therapy staff were very knowledgeable. I was shocked how much my in-law actually enjoyed her stay. She was able to take part in several different activities, bingo, cards etc…. I would definitely recommend this place to other families and friends. My mother in-law walked out pain free and is currently back walking without a walker. Thank you Pomeroy! You are top notch!

I am a travel nurse and had to make the unfortunate decision to place my family member in a skilled center. Thankfully I chose this facility. It was a great place. The Director of Nursing assured me of the care she would receive. Not only did they constantly keep in touch with me regarding her care but they called me to check in and also was very transparent with costs and appropriate treatment plan. When I visited it never spelled of body fluids or body odor like many of the other places I visited or worked at. It was always filled with such a nice atmosphere and the people were very nice. If I had to place anyone anywhere it would definitely be Pomeroy.

I have worked at Pomeroy Sterling Skilled for a few months now. I love it there. My coworkers have huge hearts. They go above and beyond to take care of the residents, families and each other. Lots of beautiful clean areas to visit loved ones. Activities have wonderful parties and things for the residents to do. ❤️

Pomeroy Living is an amazing place to work. The Staff truly care about the residents. The building also has a wonderful Activities department to keep the residents active and engaged with others. I highly recommend this community.

I have worked at Pomeroy Sterling Skilled for about 3 years, I've been working LTC for most of my career over 30 years, this is the best place I have worked in my career as a nurse. All deparments work hard to care for and give our clients the care they deserve. Great place!

Absolutely the cleanest place I have seen, plenty of engaging activities, caring and attentive nursing, and physical therapy that take real interest in your recovery. The food is great too.

If I could give Pomeroy of Sterling Heights zero stars, I would. A place that WITHHOLDS LIFE SUSTAINING MEDICATION from residents needs to be sued, heavily fined or shut down. Please do not be fooled by the tidy appearance of this place. It is all a mask to conceal the neglect. After a six-day hospital stay, it was recommended that my almost 80-year-old mother be checked into a skilled rehabilitation facility, in hopes to regain some strength. After exhaustive research, my dad and I (her patient advocates) were initially relieved to find Pomeroy of Sterling Heights. The hospital case worker followed the referral submission protocol and provided this facility with details of my mom's medication needs, comprehensive dosage instructions (which were misplaced twice), hospital-stay records, etc. Pomeroy was made WELL AWARE of her medication needs prior to accepting her.I cannot stress the importance of my mom receiving her meds twice a day, in a timely manner - once in the morning and once in the evening. As I mentioned, they are medications she absolutely needs to keep her out of the hospital and/or alive. THESE MEDICATIONS MANAGE SERIOUS CONDITIONS THAT PREVENT MEDICAL EMERGENCIES related to her heart, blood-pressure, type 2 diabetes, seizure disorder, etc. With and ONLY with these medications, her conditions remain stable.Pomeroy failed us.My dad had to drive back there at 10:30pm last night because my mom had still not received her medications. He was able to give almost all of them to her HIMSELF because no one on duty did what was promised. I say ALMOST all of her meds because there were two that WE provided at the request of Pomeroy. These two medications went MIA last night. The nurse/caregiver my dad handed these bottles to tucked them away somewhere and no one knew where. As a result, my mom had to go without these critical medications. Only after arriving this morning, in person, with a lot of insistence, were those medications finally located and given back to us.Just 13 hours after my mom's arrival, we had to bring her home because of all the things I shared above. We have ZERO trust and faith in the staff here doing something as simple as administering critical medications in a timely way.Pomeroy of Sterling Heights isn't a charity. They rake in THOUSANDS UPON THOUSANDS of dollars in revenue for a 1-2 week skilled rehab stay. This is absolutely pathetic. It is disappointing. It is unacceptable. It is DANGEROUS.Go ahead and look at other reviews I have written on Google. I don't blast businesses for fun. I don't expect perfection from businesses and usually if I have a less than perfect experience, I just move on with my life.I am writing this review because anyone reading this needs to know entrusting the life of your loved to Pomeroy of Sterling Heights is a decision you may end up regretting for the rest of your life.My mom is fortunate. She has patient advocates who will speak up for her. What happens to those who do not?
