Theres this one clerk with curly hair who is very rude, I know a lot of people have complained about her but honestly she needs to have manners when talking to customers. She thinks she runs the whole store and talks to everyone very rudely, the only reason i still come here is because a lady with blonde hair that works there, is very nice and kind and always starts up an amazing convo, she has great customer service.Also one day it was raining so bad and we has to get cough medication and this was the only place open, so we accidentally parked not correctly and the lady with curly hair literally asked us for our license and personal stuff like she was allowed to? She should get trained better and minding her own business.. this was not okay at all

I've made several great trips there. The staff has been friendly, the shelves have been stocked and I've gotten some great deals!

Today, I was looking for storage selves for closets, and I asked a clerk and she was rude with speaking and when asking her do they have them and where were they located. She clearly told me we don't have any still rudely. As I was walking through the store. There were at minimum 10 of these storage selves and the individual ones as well. First time at this store and her rudeness will keep people from this store! On the plus side...The cashier was pleasant in speaking! It looks like the previous year was their best reviews somewhere lately, they've made bad chooses with their hiring!

There are never any carts in the store. Employee says the reason is because "shoppers are lazy and don't return them." Like it's not their job to retrieve the carts for handicap people such as myself (recently broke ankle). I had to make two trips out to my car while carrying 12 packs and other bags due to their being no carts EVER.

Bigger and cleaner than most dollar general stores . Centrally located . Good deals . Great for when you just need a few things . In and out quick .

Went looking for a birthday card for momz Not 1 birthday card with mom Not any card with mom on it Bought a Aunt card and had to Alter it Don't get me started on what the inside looks like I heard at least 3 different people talking about the inside Come on hire more people these women can't keep up with the store when there's lines of people to be takin care of...Totally blame the Owners for the way it looks inside.....

Had a horrible Experience there. We went and bought a gift card there and when we tried to activate all of the money was siphoned off right then and there. I returned to the store where the card was purchased at the Sterling Heights and Van Dyke location to try and get some help on where to go to get the money back, and all i needed was for someone to point me in the right direction. Sandra the store manager happened to be there and she absolutely refused to help me and kept reiterating that it "wasn’t dollar generals fault and she can't help me". It turns out that I wasn’t the only one to have this happen to as Sandra (the manager of the store) admitted that other customers had this happen to them and she told them the exact same thing. Prior to going to the store that day, I had called the number located in the back of the gift card and customer service confirmed that the money that was in the card was gone. i went to the store where the gift card was purchased to simply ask if there was any other contact information they could give me in order for me to start a process and file the necessary claims for the fraudulent charge in my card.That was all I wanted to get form the store representative that day.Sandra was extremely rude, smirky, unwilling to listen and offer any sort of solutions. Instead of listening to my story, apologizing for the inconvenience, and give me a phone number or email to contact, she started yelling, making face gestures, laughing at the situation, and was acting very unprofessional. I have never had problems with the law and am a very peaceful person, however Sandra proceeded to contact the police and she was very dishonest when the law enforcement officers arrived. She tried to twist the whole situation into her benefit, and is a LIAR. My experience was so horrendous that if it was possible I would give this place minus 5 stars if i could. This was by far the worst customer service experience of my entire life, and the manager Sandra is the one that represents everything wrong with customer service at Dollar General. She should be properly trained on what customer service should be, how to deal with customer escalations, and problem solving. As of today, I am still missing my $500 that I had on my gift card.

The employees are Very helpful in helping you find things. The stores were so empty. Not too many bargains on President Day. I guess the weather is keeping people inside. Looking for some unique and great deals.
