We have been going to this vet since we got our dog over a year ago. We have had a few problems but nothing too major. Unfortunately, we called today for our dog to be seen because he had gotten into something over the weekend. He was appearing fine and not showing life threatening symptoms- so we opted to call our vet so they could see him and complete an evaluation to determine if ER was necessary. After two phone calls of them saying no they won’t see THEIR patient and dog who has been there since he was born— we had no choice to take him to the ER Vet. The ER vet performed a standard exam and xray(which our dog has received at the vet on occasion before) , with a diagnosis of kennel cough. I asked Thompson Animal Clinic on the second phone call if they had any check up appointments the following day after being denied any sort of appointments and they said, “I could maybe squeeze you in two weeks.” A sick dog..in two weeks? I called new places and they accepted our dog in two days for an appointment. Thank you Thompson Animal clinic for denying your patient and the expensive vet bill- proves you do not take care of your patients!

They have treated my sweet little baby like he is a member of their family. I highly recommend this clinic for everyone. You can always get an appointment quickly during the week and if you ever have to go to the emergency vet they will promptly follow up with you the next business day with any concerns. I couldn’t have asked for a better clinic over the years.

Words can’t fully describe how poorly my pets and myself were treated at this office. I spent upwards of a thousand dollars before I switched to a new office and realized just how poorly my pets were treated. Some highlights were they let my 6 month puppy fall off the table while trying to vaccinate him, vet berated me when dog had a double ear infection that I was a irresponsible pet owner, did not properly describe or provide instruction for medication, and overall showed a clear preference to treating one of my dogs over the other. I gladly pay more now to use a vet office that is kinder and more understanding.

Took my sick dog here and got some blood work done. They let me know she is too far from being better again and discussed means of putting her down for me. As a grown man in tears I did not want to believe there was nothing they could do, so I take my baby home on her last limb. Fast-forward a day and a half and my dog snapped out of her no eating spell and gained some good energy back. My neighbor had came over, after getting back from this animal clinic, and gave my dog an injection of sterile saline. Almost 3 years later and she is still here with me. No thanks to this vet clinic, who gauges what means of procedures will produce the best results financially for them.I feel a refund is welcomed and deserved for me, since they felt my income could not save this dogs life.

first I call for an appointment for my sick cat told there was an appointment the next day I would have liked a couple of questions about our problem Dr couldn't be bothered to answer them. I showed up for the next day appointment only to learn they gave the appointment to someone else and still would not see me or answer my questions. I am looking for a new vet asap.

I thought i already left one but realized i never did so im sharing my experience- around a year ago i took my dog in for a lump on her belly, in not so direct words the vet told me they couldnt do anything unless they went in and spayed her at the same time, talked me in circles until i agreed. My dad scheduled the appointment since he would be the one paying but i dropped her off, not long after i get a call from the same receptionist weve been dealing with the entire time and she says “we noticed your dog has a lump do you want us to take care of this for an extra $400?” I tell her thats not right thats the entire purpose of the surgery, she claims not to have any note of a lump written down— as if we hadnt talked about it in person multiple times—so my dad had to take time out of working to call her and get the surgery started and the receptionist blamed everything on me, saying i “misunderstood the purpose of the surgery” and scheduled it wrong but the funny part is she was the one my dad scheduled it with and she just didnt want to accept responsibility. They eventually went through with no extra charge but had a bad attitude about the whole ordeal, and essentially told us flat out that they were just trying to get more money from the procedure, then after repeatedly telling them we will no longer use their services once the scheduled appointments were done they kept trying to get us to buy expensive flea meds. Ever since my dog has changed the way she walks and runs, and now typically moves her hind legs together instead of individually. Overall i would never trust this place again, caring for animals is not their priority

I drive my aunt up here to take her dog in. She has heart problems that she's currently taking medication for, but we took her in because the side of her face & head were swollen to the size of a baseball! The vet did a great job with her. It turned out to be a dental issue, which was & is still being treated with pain meds & antibiotics. The swelling is almost gone & she seems to be feeling better. The only thing we don't like here is the cost. It seems to be quite a bit more expensive than other vets we've seen previously.

I took my mom's dog here to get his vaccination and the staff was wonderful. They made my dog feel like a vip by giving him peanut butter and gentle rubs. He was so comfortable that he didn't even notice the shot lol. Keep up the great work ??!

They sold out to Veterinary United. Google them they own about 24 practices in Michigan now and it is all about the money not about quality of care! Would not go there completely different.

I would not go there again, very rude employees, not greeted when I walked in Stood there at least 3 to 5 minutes, when she finally came up front never said hello, nothing, I got who are you, ok here fill this out. If I hadn't paid $60up front I would of walked out. The floor was dirty, the vents, which is animal level, oh and this is a Vets office do not look like they have ever been cleaned, even in the exam room, totally disgusting so much dirt in the vents.

Staff use to be friendly and knowledgeable, not so much now! They do not specify things clearly and I miss the way things use to be ran here!

Not the most friendly staff by any means. It seemed like a quick in and out transaction. I didn’t feel like my dog was genuinely being cared for. We were told nothijg was wrong with her. We switched vets and there are numerous things they are now testing for that Thompson never even mentioned to us. We would have had no idea had we not switched vets.

When our 9 year old min pin chihuahua mix got a terrible cough we could not wait to see a vet. They got us in same day. The doctor and her whole staff were exceptional. We are switching to Thomson as our primary vet. They are thorough and the pricing is fair.
