Kept going to ACE not knowing this was closer. Went there once and immediately knew this was going to be my new hardware store. Excellent customer service and knowledgeable.
Gilbert's Hardware is a family owned, 3 generations old since 1949, service oriented, old school hardware and paint store. We pride ourselves on 'service first' and hard to find home repair products. Our reviews say it all, we are "the best family hardware in the Detroit area." Our prices are very competitive and our products are 'grade A'. We won't sell cheap import junk that we wouldn't use in our own homes.
