I used to like bringing all of my dogs there but lately the staff and the vet have conflicting statements. I was told that there wasn’t a charge for shots if my dog would get neutered there. Brought him for shots first but there was a charge. I cancelled with neutering. Do not recommend. Everybody has a scam and they do too.

I took my sugar gliders here yesterday and it was such an amazing experience. The place was very clean. Not only was the reception and vet tech/assistant nice, but the vet Dr. Cook, was the nicest person. Very personable and very gentle with my pets! I will definitely recommend this place to anyone who needs a vet!

Doctor Cook is great. Love him to death but...the office staff not so much! My dog is on apoquel and EVERY time she needs a refill we need an appointment to be seen. Great I'll schedule an appointment. NOPE next available appointment is six weeks out. An ongoing problem for years. I'm done with this office, I'll be looking for someone who can actually cater to my animals needs.

I took my new puppy a French bulldog here today I dealt with a Dr Leah albers she had nothing positive to say about the breed of dog I have just the issues they have and when I told her I was aware and didn't need her opinion she said well that's too bad we have to treat them I found it very rude and disrespectful and I won't deal with them again The assistant Emily was phenomenal though but they lost a lifetime client

We adopted a dog from a rescue group and wanted to get her checked out quickly to see if anything needed immediate attention. They didn’t have any openings but put me on a list for cancellations and called me in about 2 hours to get us in. Great follow up and concern for our pet and us. Definitely recommend Southgate Animal Hospital. They will take good care,of your pets.

My former co-worker was always raving about her veterinarian. When my previous veterinarian retired, I thought, I'm going to Southgate Animal Hospital. So glad I made the change. Doctors are wonderful and so is everyone you encounter - from the front desk, to the technicians. Very caring and compassionate. I have already recommended Southgate Animal Hospital to my friends.

Southgate Animal Hospital offers exceptional pet care. Drs Keith and Eileen Cooke and their staff are always welcoming, knowledgeable and compassionate for all of our dogs needs. Henry and Hudson always feel safe when we visit for our wellness exams. We have been taking our rescue pups to Southgate for over 20 years. You guys rock!!!

Do not go here there's one vet who doesn't know a single thing about what she's doing at all and just talks nonsense like a crazy person and only wants to rack up your bill as much as she can! Every time we get her she says something stupid and puts us down when she cant even talk straight,she should have her title striped and fired cause she caused our pets to die because she wouldn't listen to a word we say because she knows your pet better then you, the cooks are the only good vets at this practice if your lucky enough to get them

My beardie wasn't acting like himself so I scheduled him an appointment. The staff was really good with him even though he had a little attitude & acted more like a dog. He was tryna be a biter, luckily they did extremely with all his attitude and gave him the care he needed. Kinda pricey from the last vet he went to but it beat the 30 min drive to Ann Arbor.

I cannot say enough good things about the staff and vets here. Our cat was missing and taken here for treatment. Everyone was so kind and caring making sure he felt loved while his family was found. I can’t thank you enough!!!!!

The vet is very friendly and professional. She takes excellent care of my GCC. They have great prices and appointments are usually easy to get.

This place is amazing. They took in my cat that was having an emergency with little notice. We are not even Client’s there. My Vet had NO time to help my pet. I own SAH everything. Definitely changing Vets now.
