If ZERO stars were possible that's what I would put. Here's my story; I needed a ps3 controller. They had one for $49. Way too high of a price. Bought it anyway. I asked what the return policy was, lazy eye woman told me I'd get cash back if I returned in 24 hours or credit within 7 days. Brought back the controller first thing the next day. "I never said that" and proceeded to only give me in store credit. The store is cash only and has no signs telling you that. They suggest you use the atm then get the $3 off your purchase, definitely how money laundering works. Against my better judgment I went back a week later to use the credit. For a $69 ps5 camera. I had the $49 in credit and $5 for some sort of promo. Just for the lazy eye cashier to tell me I can only use one at a time. To top it off it feels like the someone died in there and the ghost lives in the aisles. If you're into really bad experiences this is the place for you!

Had issues with rude staff, the return policy is subpar... Being directed to the manufacturer for a recently bought controller is ridiculous, since I bought it there. Felt like I should've skipped the store and but direct if that was the case. But the owner is really nice.

A very cool, fun, and friendly collectors shop. Prices are fair and they were very well stocked with all kinds of older games. I was impressed by the fact that they had rare, good condition games at a higher price due to the rarity, but had lower priced versions of the same game, would recommend for collectors or to anyone who just wants to see if they can find an older game they played before.

About 4 or 5 year back i came here with my mom to trade in my old Xbox 360, The Storage drive, And about 6 or so controllers and maybe get a few games in return.Nope! I walked in with a almost new xbox and some somewhat used controllers and walked out with $60 in store credit (i was offered $40 in cash for all of it or $60 in-store credit which if youve been there, yiu can pretty much only buy misc items such as cords or controllers)And the explanation of why i wasnt getting way more for this stuff (in the employees words since i will never forget this)“We unfortunately cannot give you more because the controllers grips are missing and look like they were broken off”At the time i was about 14 or 15, even now as a 18 year old im upset about this and after i got the money, all i was able to get was 1 single game that was still out of my price range ($75 dollars for a preowned game that no ones ever heard of and is not that good of a game)

Visited this place for the first time today. Honestly, if you don’t like a businesses prices, just don’t shop there. Sue was honest and friendly. The store reminded me of what video game stores used to feel like in the early 2000’s. Prices are fair, selection is plentiful. This place does not deserve the bad reviews. I found the “membership only” concept to be quite fun. Small businesses are the heart of communities, and cash is king for them. So I actually totally understand cash only. I had an awesome time here! Thankful to have this option over meijer and target!!

Big store with a huge collection. Lots of retro and modern stuff. Prices are insanely high though. If you're into game collecting especially retro you can get better prices on eBay. You need to be a member to go in tbe store which requires filling out an application plus show ID which does get photocopied. The price listed on what you buy can be changed once you get to the counter to pay for it. There's a sign in the store that says they reserve the right to change the price due to the nature of their business.

Terrible store and management. The ID and cash only is ridiculous, prices are out of control and easily 2x ebay prices, and the owner goes around threatening people for leaving honest reviews. Not a good look for you guys.

I went here 4 years ago to fix my 3ds it took them an entire year to fix a little bit water in the screen. On top of that their prices are overpriced af for no reason and require a membership to get in the damn place. Atleast to my knowledge that's what they said when I went in last. I hope the owner sees this and trust me I mean this respectfully as possible but your business is terribly managed.

If the ID and cash only with ATM inside isn't a red flag enough, the rom hack games are being sold as if they're the original game is the cherry on top. Not to mention the replies the staff give to these reviewers is a joke.As a game collector, I have been to numerous game stores around Michigan with fair prices, trade ins and amazing staff, but this is what I would consider a video game graveyard - where games go to die, locked behind shelves indefinitely or someone who's unaware that they're being scammed. We were looking at getting a "Limited Run" game with a lot of sun damage on the case and staff attempted to sell it for much more than what was on the price tag.If you are a video game collector, or if you're a more casual gamer, I would look somewhere elseEdit:Sorry Barry, but it sounds like you are full of yourself. Work on your problems your customers are reviewing, rather than having a power trip. This is a bad business practice. Thank you for not addressing the concerns on this review and instead focusing on that you got another 1 star

Called yesterday because finally found the Nintendo 64 unit and was looking doe a specific game. The nice lady that answered the phone stated they had it. So we drive from Monroe to Southgate and picked it up. When we walked in we were blown away!!! There was everything you can think of. Everything was super clean and very very organized. Had all the things we needed and a few extras. I could have spent all day there for sure. I wish you guys would build one in Monroe I think you guys would do amazing there because there isn't anything like you guys there. Yes a few places but more for D and D. There is plenty of open spaces in Monroe!!!! And a lot of gamers. Overall I highly recommend this place ? One more thing for those that remember....they were around in the Gibralter Trade Center. I knew I recognized the name.

Applied for a job here years ago. Was told I needed to sign a contract stating I would not be paid for the 80 hours of "training" which is illegal. The "training" consisted of doing various labor activities around the store and no education on the products. Once the "training" was complete I was told i needed to pass the ex-cop owner's test. The test was all knowledge based on video game systems from the 80s. None of which was covered in the training. Obviously I failed his test and was told I could continue the training for no pay or he wasn't going to hire me. Aside from that, the place is unorganized and the owner is rude. Everything is over priced. Don't waste your time supporting this con artist.Edit: Barry, I didn’t apply to volunteer, I applied for a paid position. I got an email recently from your store so I decided to look at the reviews and see if anything has changed, looks like it hasn’t. Still lots of unhappy customers feeling ripped off and violated. It’s funny that you threaten everyone that leaves a bad review of your bad business practices. Reputable businesses do not react this way to criticism. Usually when people think everyone is out to get them it’s because they are doing something wrong. Idk you’re the ex-cop you should know all about immoral and illegal business activities. By the way, I have found employment and they paid for my training because it is illegal not to do so.

Pretty much everything in there is WAY over priced! Won't be back.Edit:Yes to the owner, I was in there before your remodel and was going to buy an NES game, but was double the average selling prices on Ebay for the same game. You're the only game store I've been to that over charges that much for NES games. Didn't even want to look at any other games for any other consoles. PRICE GOUGING! Maybe you should listen to your customers instead of berating them because they left a review you didn't like.

I suspect this store is a front for illegal activity as it's the only plausible explanation for why it has remained in business for so many years with such a horrible business model and crappy customer experience. Sheisty is the one word I would use to describe this place. Prices are INSANE and an employee was actually debating me about if an extremely overpriced game was reasonably priced and got condescending when I pulled up pricecharting.com data to show that it was like 2.5x(!) more expensive than I could easily buy online. You will feel awkward as the employees closely watch you as you look around the store, and particularly if you look up prices on your phone. Do yourself a favor and go to Disc Replay in Taylor instead.
