I am a personal shopper that does a lot of shopping at this location. This is by far the best stocked and laid out Meijer in the downriver area.
I would also like to give a special shout out to the ladies that handle the rotisserie chicken and hot chicken lunches. The strips and potato wedges are absolutely awesome and the smell coming from that area is to die for! I mean so amazing! It pulled me over to the counter like a siren calling a lover. LOL! I was originally going for Sushi. Normally I would never put down sushi over chicken. I did today and don't regret it! Those preparing the chicken do a phenomenal job, what an amazing aroma , and excellent meal for $6.99! Better than any fast food in existence and that wonderful smell at the front of the store! Don't change a thing! I'll be back regularly for this chicken!

This Meijer is a blessing. I am particularly impressed with the vegan selection in their grocery department and the wide variety of merchandise in their toy department! ?

I love the store in South gate off of 4th Street the greeter is the most amazing he always makes me feel welcomed there's also another gentleman that works in self-scan who always makes me feel at least happy when I leave

Made the HUGE mistake of doing an online pickup because Kroger is a breeze!!!
NEVER again at Southgate Meijer.
From start to finish it was a disaster.
Late past the original pick up time, wrong items,
Extremely long wait to have the orders brought out. I’ve wasted 2 hours trying to get this order!! Why even give a time?
Cars were piled up waiting and waiting.
Get it together or cancel this service.

Worst signage in the grocery game. I literally have to call the store from within the store just to ask where stuff is. The signs on one end of the aisle are different than the signs on the other end ?♂️of the aisle. It MAKES NO SENSE! You went through the trouble of hanging signs, it would be nice if they functioned as a sign. Do you need Tuna Fish? It's in the "Soups, Crackers and Cookies" aisle. Need mustard? It's in the "Packaged Dinners" aisle. Not sure how much they paid for signage but it was pointless.

Very clean, workers are doing it here but the setup for self checkout and regular checkout lanes are brutal. Self they snake you thru their snacks and you know how slow people are, it just doesn’t add up to a quick process which self checkout is supposed to do. The regular lanes are like one cart deep so if twos open carts are all over the lanes where you walk. But clean!

Pharmacy is horrible. Never have I had a harder time getting my medication. Told it would be ready on Tuesday, went to pick it up said it wouldn’t be ready until Wednesday. Went to pick it up Wednesday said I’d have to come back tomorrow. Went back the next day it was not ready. Was told that if I waited they would have it in 30 min. Waited for over an hour and then when I asked what was going on they said I’d have to come back tomorrow. Only after talking to multiple people and waiting another 30 min did I finally get my perception.
